Five Things Week 11, marks the first Saturday in 2017 and I am excited to recap the last days of 2016. It’s weird to think last Saturday was 2016, time has been moving pretty fast for sure. Seven (7) days into the New Year and only great things have been happenings. I am so excited to see where 2017 is going to take us, excited to experience what’s in store.
This year I have decided to be recapping what I planned for this week in the last Five Things post. Then share what great things happened, sucked and plans for next week.
Five Things for {this} week
Stay organised, on a recent trip shopping with my mother I picked up a stay organised planner from Wilko and cannot wait to start using it.↵ I have started using it but I am not as organised as I would like.I intend to set my yearly goals which are broken down either into quarters or monthly achievable targets.↵ Glad to say I managed to set up yearly goals broken down into quarterly targets.Schedule posts for the next two weeks as I catch up on the other ugly side of blogging.↵This was harder than I thought, I spent the first week writing posts on the day.Start saving for a car now that I have passed my test. ↵ So far I have managed to make £250 from the blog so saving that right now.Start saving for the concert I am attending with my sister at the end of January.↵ Still working on this one, I am saving for a lot of things so it’s a bit hard.
Five Great Things to happen
- Saturday, we went car shopping for me. I found a lovely new Ford Fiesta ztec at the dealership and can not wait to get it.
- Saturday, spent the day with my parents before we went to church to close the year. It was nice to be in Church again and just be surrounded by friends and family.
- Sunday, we went to church and opened the year in the house of the Lord. Having fellowship at church, listening to the word of the year gave me much courage to embrace 2017.
- Tuesday, I went to the gym the first for the year and had so much fun. I can not wait to get back into the swing of things.
- Wednesday, since I was able all my parcels I had been waiting for arrived. Isn’t it fun receiving parcels, ripping them open and seeing the new items?
Five Things that sucked
- Saturday, though I found a car I couldn’t drive off with it. I was gutted because I have to wait for my licence to come, then have my name changed to the correct order. A few years back the government made mistakes on my passport and provisional licence. They put my first name as middle name and middle name as first now. It never caused problems because they are still my names but this time with credit search, it has to be correct order.
- Sunday, after church I left home to return to my apartment. Then got caught up in the train delays between London and Oxford. It was so annoying being stuck for over an hour but luckily I had my phone and was able to do some blogging.
- Wednesday, woke up in pain due to exercising the day before. As much as I had fun at the gym, my body remembered it had not exercised properly for over 2 months
- Thursday, got an email and letter that my 2015/6 self assessment is due 31st January 2017. Tried to do it and all came out wrong, so I have my account/lawyer dad doing it for me.
- Wednesday-Saturday, the weather had been crap all weak so I worked from home. I think I have cabin fever now.
Five Things for next week
- Attend 3-2 gym classes
- Create a schedule and balance sheet for blog income and expenditures
- Schedule posts for the week
- Review and complete all pending sponsored posts
- Do task time allocation to complete tasks
And there you have it, five things week 11. How was your first week in the new year?

New car sounds great! I went back to church this sunday too, I’m a Sunday School teacher and missed it so much over the break

How exciting to be looking forward to a new car, and well done for making a decent amount from the blog.

Hope you feel better soon, and youre able to drive your new car asap!

Hopefully you can get your car sorted and your body feels a little better now and the pain has eased from the gym. Small goals helps increase success rate.

Setting achievable goals is so rewarding. I imagine you can look back and feel rather pleased, also makes the “things that suck” perhaps a little easier to bear.

Sounded to be a very busy week. Hope you get your car sorted; it’s so excited. Hoping to pass my test this year, so can feel some of your excitement. Sure it’ll all work out and time you wait, can mean more money to save! x

small achievable goals are the way to go, I’m currently trying to follow the yoga with Adrienne videos on youtube and upping my intake of water and vegetables. Very do-able.

Such a great idea to share mini goals per week and have the accountability to keep you going.
Steph says
I love this idea. I’ve been thinking of doing some kind of recap – 10 things that were successful in a week / month type post and this has made me more determined to get that organised. Good luck with your goals and seems like you’re well prepared

Wow look how well you are sticking to your schedule, I am seriously impressed right now x
