{BEAUTY} Tried and Tested

Hi there and welcome to Tried and Tested, I have never really done this type of post before but done similar ones ‘monthly empties or favourites’ which I liked but required me to remember not to throw away empty containers. When I started blogging I did not think my blog would reach a point where companies and PRs would contact me to try out their products. The first time I was contacted I was so over the moon I could not believe my good fortune, since then I worked hard and I have done the reviews honestly. If I liked the product I made a point of writing about it on my blog even if I was not required to and if I did not like the product I either told the company or gave my honest opinion so as not to deceive my readers.

Over the last few months I have been trying out different products: (1) Pure Swiss Hyaluronic Serum which contains vitamin C by 180 cosmetics. I will be honest and say I had heard heard of this company before but I have used serums containing Hyaluronic acid and vitamin c ingredients before and I have always loved them. (2) Dr. OZ sunscreen, I have blogged about Oz Naturals many a time on this blog and you all know my love for them. The sunscreen was new one for me and because I got it almost at the end of summer I did not get to use it as much as I do other products when reviewing them but I gave it a try. (3) Over the last few months I also had a chance to review anti hair loss and anti dandruff shampoo by Regenepure which I think has the best scent ever ‘MINT’ it is so refreshing and it just made my head feel less stressed.

To begin the tried and tested series, I chose the three mentioned products: Hyaluronic & Vit. C serum, Sunscreen and Shampoo from three awesome and different brands (in my opinion).

wholesale toupee and hair systems for men 180 Cosmetics – As mentioned I had never heard of this company prior to being contacted to review the serum but since I love Hyaluronic acid/ Vit. C based serums I agreed to review the product. From the time I placed the order and to the time I received everything was conducted via amazon with great precision and coordination. I received the product earlier than anticipated but because I had business trips I couldn’t blog about it which has meant I had been trying out this product for more than 2 weeks now and I am still loving it. The serum comes in a pipette squirting type of bottle which is exactly how I prefer my serum bottles, I get nicely measured amounts all the time. The serum is colourless in colour and the texture is very smooth and very soft plus it smells like a science lab which weirdly I love. I received a 15ml (0.5 Oz) bottle which is currently on sale for £9.83 original price is £79.89 and it has lasted me this long, granted I only use it in the morning but they recommend you use it daily. I love how quickly it gets absorbed into the skin and leaves no residues which is great. Definitely would recommend this serum. The original price is too steep but it does what it says on the tin and stands out from other Hyaluronic/ vitamin c based serums.

Oz Naturals Sunscreen – For the last year and half I have been trying out different Oz natural products and none have disappointed me as of yet. I was a bit skeptical about the sunscreen because I received it at the end of summer but decided to review it as I was heading to sunny countries for a 10 day getaway break. The sunscreen is white in colour which worried me because I am black and usually white creams especially sunscreens I avoid as they do not absorb properly into my skin and just leaves me looking ghost like. I will say the Dr. Oz naturals sunscreen did leave me ghost like for about 5 minutes before it was completely absorbed into my skin whilst I lay in the sun. At first I thought it would be greasy and sticky but was surprised it wasn’t and it was not difficult to wash off either. I was sent spf 30 in a 68g bottle costing £15.87 with original price of £21.75.

Using sun protection on a daily basis to keep skin healthy and youthful should be part of a regular regimen. Our formula provides broad spectrum protection from the sun’s harmful UVA/UVB rays, as well as moisturizes skin with scientifically advanced actives. Utilizing the highly stable and reflective properties of Zinc Oxide, with the natural UV diluting qualities of Octyl Methoxycinnamate, our formula offers broad-spectrum UV coverage. This silky moisturizing sunscreen should be applied as a daily barrier alone, underneath makeup, at the beach, and during other outdoor activities.

Regenepure Shampoo – Let me just say I absolutely love this shampoo, it has definitely helped me with my dandruff stricken head. The water in the UK is hard meaning it causes dandruff for me and I can not seem to find any shampoo that works for me. The first time I used Regenepure shampoo my entire head felt so refreshed and so clean, the fresh mint scent was just heavenly I felt as though my head was breathing again.

  • Clinically proven hair loss problems.
  • Hair growth shampoo that helps stimulate hair growth and curb hair loss. Great for hair loss prevention.
  • Stops DHT buildup and is proven to stimulate hair growth & reduce dandruff.
  • Shampoo for hair loss that nourishes the scalp, removes impurities and repairs hair roots.
  • Sulfate free shampoo. It is free of harmful chemicals parabens & SLS.

I have noticed whilst using this shampoo that my hair is a lot stronger though I am still having some hair loss which I am attributing to the fact that I have not treated my hair though undergrowth looks healthy and strong. I have noticed my dandruff has reduced greatly which is a huge plus and love the fact that this shampoo is sulfate free with no harmful chemicals nor parabens. I highly recommend this product to anyone who’s looking to try a shampoo that actually works and leaves your hair looking and smelling fresh.

I love trying out new products and I can not wait to share with you the next set of products which also totally rock.

I’ve heard about those products, but I was a little unsure whether I go ahead to try it, or would that make my skin worst… But you made such a fantastic review

The serum sounds amazing – I love the really concentrated formulas where you only need a drop or two for your whole face. Seems a great moisturising one for winter too.

I’m a little scared to use anything from Dr. Oz after finding out that he was recommending stuff that the FDA has proven to be snake oil, but I think that sunscreen is probably a safe one.
