Autumn like winter tend to dry the skin that’s why it’s important to have an Autumn morning skincare routine. It can not just be any old routine you’ve used in the past, it has to be robust and protective. Though I rarely share beauty posts these days, I still have several types of routines I follow to care for my oily skin. Earlier in the year I shared the Benefits of having oily skin aka Seborrhoea with the biggest benefit being “oily protects you from wrinkles”. Of course you will get them just not at the same rate as other skin types though you need to put in some work too. Every season change I do one thing to my morning skincare routine, I assess the products and see if they are fit for purpose. It’s all well and good having a routine and great products but if the summer… View Post

Nuffield Place was home to William Morris and his wife Elizabeth, purchased from the widow of Sir John Bowring Wimble. I first stumbled upon Nuffield Place when I was checking out which National Trust property I should visit first. Basildon Park was the property I chose, Ashdown House soon followed as did Greys Court which I visited last week. In my quest to be a local tourist in my own country I am hoping to utilize my free weekend to see as many properties as possible. Joining the national Trust and being a member has been the best decision I have made so far this year. I get to visit these places for free whenever they are open and enjoy free parking too.   Autumn is such a beautiful and colourful time of the year. I never truly appreciated this until I started my local adventures series. Having the time… View Post

Topshop Wishlist was inspired by my recent Topman Wishlist I put together for a millennial like my brother. As mentioned in the previous post, I have a dysfunctional relationship with Topshop (and Topman). Mostly it’s due to their sizes than price because they do have amazing pieces to swoon over.  My issue with the sizes is that they seem to be smaller than other fashion retailers and I know it’s an issue with others too. Topshop is a British fashion company and a global retailer with over 500 stores worldwide with 300 of them in the UK alone. Practically every big city in the UK has a Topshop either as a store or inside places like Debenhams. As it’s a British shop it’s only fair I pay homage and share with you some of the items I am loving. Topshop Wishlist #Autumn  Summer has officially ended and autumn (or fall)… View Post

Wrap up warm this autumn as the cool breeze seems to be heading our way. I am someone who doesn’t like being cold same thing for the men in my life, my brother especially. Our collaboration with The Idle Man brought out some ideas of items we could purchase this autumn. We all know that men are not the easiest people to shop for and we often struggle with finding their style. Well fret not, The Idle Man has done all the hard work and put a lookbook together. I for one love this lookbook, it’s definitely something I have recommended to my brother to help him with styling. The aim of this post is to share how our men can warm up warm this autumn with our sponsor The Idle Man. Do not worry as I mentioned in my previous post, they stock both own brand and other brands.… View Post

When deciding on a shirt to wear, a few considerations might cross a man’s mind: will it match with my jeans? Does the material feel of high quality? Is it appropriate for the dress code? One question that men should also be asking is — what does this colour say about me? Researchers have conducted studies which have explored the effects of colour on how the wearer is perceived. For example, if you’re looking to come across as powerful; choose red. If you want to show confidence, always opt for black. We have teamed up with Charles Tyrwhitt, experts in gentlemen’s fashion and retailers of men’s formal shirts, to investigate further and find out which colours women prefer on men. Deciding the colour If you’re looking to dress to impress, consider purchasing one of the following coloured shirts on your next shopping trip… Black Black is a go-to colour when… View Post

Barcelona like many European cities is a vibrant and energetic city which you can either take at a fast pace or slower. I of course chose the latter as the last 5 weeks have been rather hectic and I needed a reprieve. Which I am glad to say Barcelona definitely gave in plentiful tides  and much more. During the summer I had a lovely guest post by Sally, 5 things to see in Barcelona. Obviously she knew I had the city on my bucketlist and she shared her tips which helped shape my itinerary. Normally when I travel, I create at least five items that are popular tourist attractions and the rest I fumble along. I like to leave at least one day or afternoon just for wandering around, exploring the new place. For Barcelona I needed it to be slow, nothing rushed and no tight timelines. It was all… View Post
