Looking back at each decade, I feel both ‘older’ and ‘younger’, I see the change in my features, the change in my way of life, the change in my personality and the experience itched on my face. I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

2026 - 39, (Home, England), I am ready for this final year before my 40s but also ready for this next decade.
2016 - 29, (Oslo, Norway), this decade was about self discovery and building the life I dreamt about. The life that I am super proud of and truly grateful to be living. This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.
2006 - 19, (Glasgow, Scotland), I thought I was grown (look at the cheekbones 🤣🤣) and ready for the world, chiiiild was I wrong, let’s just say, I am still resolving the trauma the decade brought me but I am grateful because I met my best friends and made decisions for the future I wanted to have. (Spoiler alert - I did better than I dreamed).
1996 - 9, (Home, Zambia) this was my birthday but my little sister insisted she had to be the one in the middle. The only way we knew whose birthday it was, was by standing in the middle but this year I remember baby sister crying her eyes out and refusing 🤨
1988 - 9 months, (Chililabombwe, Zambia) although my mother looks tired and traumatised😟, I know I was loved and happy.

A couple of days ago I had the pleasure of attending the press event hosted by Sheridan in London’s Soho hotel. Before attending this event I knew little about the brand and what they had to offer. Sheridan is an Australian brand which prides itself in providing the best quality bed linen range, scents range, baby range as well as the bathroom range which includes some luxurious Egyptian style cotton towels (loved the feel of them). I will split my posts into Bed linen range, Scents range and bathroom range to give you chance to appreciate each range individually.

When I arrived at Soho hotel I was directed to the room by a very nice doorman, upon reaching the room I met a few Sheridan staff who greeted me warmly and welcomed me. We were offered beverages of sorts and given a tour of the different ranges Sheridan had to offer. I was shown the loungewear range first then baby range but my favourite range was the scents range which up to now I am still remembering and cherish those scents. At the press event they had;

  • Dreaming at Dusk – which I think had a beautiful coconutscent, this is the first thingi picked up on before I smelt the vanilla tone.

    Rest easy with the sweet smell of vanilla.Fresh and wholesome, this scent is a perfect balance of aldehydic and coconut, underpinned by the heliotrope flower, vanilla, cedar and musk.

  • Beach Escape – this too I smelt the lovely vanilla and flowery kind of scent.

    Crisp and fresh, the rounded middle notes of white flowers and vanilla orchid are enlivened with fresh orange and bergamot, and grounded with amber and sea moss. Down to earth and luxuriously laid back, this unique fragrance lifts you up and plants you somewhere on the Australian coast.

  • Citrus Lane – I immediately picked up on the lemon/lime tones with this scent
  • Garden retreat – I loved the rosey kind of smell, it was a fan favourite of mine.
  • Picnic in the park – I didn’t take much to this one don’t know why but prefered other scents than this one.

Overall I think there Scents range will be a big hit when its out in the spring, the scents are really lovely and I love their incorporation of everything Australian (obviously being an Australian company). Have you ever heard of Sheridan before this blog post? If so what’s your favourite item from them.

Teaser for the next post

Can not wait to share with you all .@sheridan_uk items. I was totally blown away by their bed linen range as well as their bathroom range.

**This is a collaboration post, I was invited to attend the press event via aquapr to review their upcoming product range, I was gifted a Sheridan gift bag but no other forms of compensation were given. Regardless I only recommend and review products/items which I myself believe in and would be of interest to my readers**
