Looking back at each decade, I feel both ‘older’ and ‘younger’, I see the change in my features, the change in my way of life, the change in my personality and the experience itched on my face. I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

2026 - 39, (Home, England), I am ready for this final year before my 40s but also ready for this next decade.
2016 - 29, (Oslo, Norway), this decade was about self discovery and building the life I dreamt about. The life that I am super proud of and truly grateful to be living. This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.
2006 - 19, (Glasgow, Scotland), I thought I was grown (look at the cheekbones 🤣🤣) and ready for the world, chiiiild was I wrong, let’s just say, I am still resolving the trauma the decade brought me but I am grateful because I met my best friends and made decisions for the future I wanted to have. (Spoiler alert - I did better than I dreamed).
1996 - 9, (Home, Zambia) this was my birthday but my little sister insisted she had to be the one in the middle. The only way we knew whose birthday it was, was by standing in the middle but this year I remember baby sister crying her eyes out and refusing 🤨
1988 - 9 months, (Chililabombwe, Zambia) although my mother looks tired and traumatised😟, I know I was loved and happy.

Mother’s Day Competition with ToxicFox

Thank you Toxicfox for making this conversation possible.mday_350X600

Hi there, hope you had an amazing valentine’s day with family, friends and loved ones. Ours was really simple, breakfast in bed then movie marathon and ended it with a trip to Desert rose to smoke some herbal shisha and enjoy some middle eastern foods. Now that V-day is out of the way, Toxicfox and I thought we spring another wonderful and important date in the calendar on you  ‘MOTHER’s DAY’.

mday_950X200

Mother’s day is almost upon us and what better way to show your momma some love than sending her a present or for those creative people out there make something to thank her for all the wonderful things she has done for you (blood or not still your momma). I have been thinking a lot lately about what I wanted to get my mother and honestly been pretty stuck, I think I have maxed out on jewellery as we always get her that, flowers are not are favourite but she appreciates them so I will try to include those and taking her out is an option but my momma is a very busy lady. So with all that being said I have turned to Toxicfox to help me find the perfect gift and you’re invited too. I am currently thinking:

mday

What a great site! I love anything that makes giving gifts easier! I have so many people that are so hard to buy for. I also love giving unique and interesting gifts that people may not have heard of or seen before – this sounds like a great site! Wish I was in the UK.

Mother’s Day is quite close to my birthday so I don’t think I’ll be getting anything big – my other half will be driven mad trying to find me gifts haha! 🙂 I am loving the look of that luxury hamper though, I’d love to receive something like that. I think lots of little things to enjoy in one box or basket is always such a treat!

This is a great Mother’s Day giveaway! I’m loving that pillow! That’s what I would want to get from the kids. I love hoarding pillows. I’m not in the UK, not sure if I can enter or not, let me know! Because that gift set looks amazing!

I love these stuff! It would be a change to receive the pretty hamper with all the things inside! The pillow is also special. A great idea instead of just giving out flowers

My mother is a hard lady to buy for. I usually stick to gift cards but I absolutely love this! I know my mom (and even myself) would love to get the Luxury Ladies Gift Hamper. The Blackcurrant & Blueberry Preserves sounds super yummy!

Wow! We just finished the V-day festivities. I can’t believe we are onto Mother’s Day already. 2015 is certainly flying by fast. But before this holiday though, in the States we will still be celebrating St. Patrick’s day. However, it’s great to know that ideas for Moms are already brewing 🙂

I haven’t even thought about Mother’s Day. Living over 1000 miles away from my mom means she usually just gets a card, and hopefully it arrives on time. We’ve gotten her some big gifts in the past though, so we aren’t horrible children haha.

Oh my goodness, I haven’t even started to think about Mother’s Day! My mom is a huge college football fan, so I usually get her something that has to do with her favorite team.
