Looking back at each decade, I feel both ‘older’ and ‘younger’, I see the change in my features, the change in my way of life, the change in my personality and the experience itched on my face. I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.

2026 - 39, (Home, England), I am ready for this final year before my 40s but also ready for this next decade.
2016 - 29, (Oslo, Norway), this decade was about self discovery and building the life I dreamt about. The life that I am super proud of and truly grateful to be living. This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.
2006 - 19, (Glasgow, Scotland), I thought I was grown (look at the cheekbones 🤣🤣) and ready for the world, chiiiild was I wrong, let’s just say, I am still resolving the trauma the decade brought me but I am grateful because I met my best friends and made decisions for the future I wanted to have. (Spoiler alert - I did better than I dreamed).
1996 - 9, (Home, Zambia) this was my birthday but my little sister insisted she had to be the one in the middle. The only way we knew whose birthday it was, was by standing in the middle but this year I remember baby sister crying her eyes out and refusing 🤨
1988 - 9 months, (Chililabombwe, Zambia) although my mother looks tired and traumatised😟, I know I was loved and happy.

{Featured Brand} Land of Rugs Review

Land of Rugs is a leading British online rug traders brand located in the picturesque village of Darley Abbey. The brand is famous for its high end but affordable rugs which are supplied from trusted global importers. With free shipping to almost all UK destinations, Land of Rugs offer the best rugs on the market.

The brand recently got in touch for possible collaboration and I picked the Lexus Red Wool Rug. I am happy to report that the rug is absolutely gorgeous and fits perfectly in my living room. We are totally impressed that the brand offers a free 30-day return if you’re unhappy with the rugs.

Featured Brand: Land of Rugs

When I was asked to collaborate with the brand, I took a moment to research about them. I was happy to see the various rugs they sell from their online shop which is headquartered in Derby. The quality of the Lexus red wool rug is absolutely impressive and the colour matches my home theme.

I must point out that the rug does shed quite a bit and therefore care must be taken. Personally wool has always been itchy for me and though I have not experienced it with this rug, I am weary. I have found that the rug is pretty easy to clean, Land of Rugs have written Rug Care which is super useful. I have learnt the right type of vacuum cleaner for my new rug.

The delivery usually takes 3-5 days and for those areas where delivery incurs a charge, its £20. From the day I ordered it took less than 5 days to arrive unfortunately I missed the courier so waited a few more days before delivery. Land of Rugs use DHL to sent the rug and I am happy that there is a collection point near enough to my home.

Land of Rugs

The rug I ordered comes in 5 sizes and fees start from £75, for the quality of the rug this is quite affordable. Though for larger sizes the price is definitely steep at £320 for a 200 x 285cm. What I love about the brand is if you find the same rug elsewhere and is cheaper, they will beat the price by £5 – £15.

We are totally in love with the rug, the quality is unparallel and returns are easy. Everyone who has visited my home in the last week has commented on how much they love the new rug. Please take a moment to check out our Featured Brand; Land of Rugs and the items they have to offer.

That’s a beautiful looking rug. We didn’t think we needed any when we moved to Portugal but have since found out we do, making do with cheap ones to keep our feet off the cold winter floors. I’d love something like this though!

Your living room looks absolutely gorgeous! I have a kind of red and brown theme in my middle room, and the Lexus Red Wool Rug would look absolutely perfect in there. Off to the website 🙂
