How to maximise space in your bathroom

Over the last 8+ years of being a renter, I have lived in properties with the smallest bathrooms imaginable. As a renter, I am limited on how much change I can do to my flat but that doesn’t mean I can’t do anything. I found some amazing tips on maximising the small spaceI have in the bathroom.

In more recent years, the apartments I have rented have had small but sizable bathrooms with room to add my touches. I have had to learn how to maximise space in your bathroom through trial and error. Since moving into a new place last month, I decide to maximise the small space in my bathroom.

In this post, I will share tips that I have used to make my small bathroom look and feel bigger and stylish. As a renter I can’t rearrange the bathroom to my preference but have worked around what I have been presented with.

How to Maximise Space in Your Bathroom

When I moved into my current property, as soon as I saw the bathroom, ideas started jumping out of my head of things I could do with the space. None of the ideas require professionals but if I was to need an update to my bath, Bathing Solutionswould be my first choice.

The few changes that I made to the bathroom required me spending a few pounds to add pieces to the bathroom. I am not a big spender but I do appreciate quality items from my home and always purchase those. A few simple changes I made include;

Added a Mirror

Every bathroom I have ever had in my home has always had a mirror as it gives the illusion of the room being bigger. Another thing is it makes the room brighter when light reflects on the mirror. Plus, as a woman, I need a mirror to sort my face out before I leave the house.

Under sink storage

In my new bathroom I have enough space between the bath tub and the toilet to add an under-sink cupboard for storage. In almost every bathroom I have had one thing of concern has always been storage space.

Storage Baskets

In this new bathroom, I actually have a window sill which has been incredible as I can perch storage baskets on them. I have so many products for the body, face, hair but other necessities that I need more storage space.

Bathroom Accessories

When it comes to accessories the bathroom, I think the less the better since a small bathroom will look crowded quickly. I have a soap holder, an electric tooth brush and toothpaste holder around my sink. Then on the floor I have one large bathmat which makes my bathroom look and feel cosier. 

Towel Bar

I have a towel back installed at the back of the bathroom door, not only does this create space for towels, it keeps the bathroom look neat. I hate not having somewhere to hang my towel in the bathroom, the towel bar is long enough to put my bathrobe on too.
