{Fashion Monday} Date night

Date night

Because boo and I live in different cities, we don’t get to see each other as much as we would like. We have talked about moving in together and when the time is right we will but for now if I am to be totally honest I am still enjoying the freedom of having my own place, a place I can call my own, a place where I can go chill and have my me time without thinking of the needs of others and I know it’s not always like that when people live together but I am that type of person putting the needs of others before my own.

Every time boo and I meet up we either have a night in, chat like tomorrow will never come or watch movies and on occasions he will be busy on he’s laptop working whilst I am busy on mine blogging (as you do) or if not blogging I am catching up on my K-Dramas. There are other rare occasions that we don’t do any of the above and instead opt for a night out for dinner (mostly) or cinema, provided we both have something we want to see.

This gone weekend was such a weekend (Saturday night to be exact), we wanted to have a date night (though we invited he’s brother and their friend) and went out to Jimmy’s an all-you-can-eat-restaurant. I love these places but also hate them, love them because I am not limited to what I can eat hate them because my eyes are always bigger than my stomach and they can be quite expensive for a picky eater like me.

Though me and boo had decided that we would go out Saturday night he didn’t tell me how early we had to go until 30 minutes before which for someone like me is ample time but I was lost in my blogging all day that I hadn’t showered yet so had to rush.

I decided since I was more likely to spill on myself at the all you can eat place I would just throw together a simple outfit which I wouldn’t shed too many tears if it got ruined by some Indian curry or accidentally dropped some kimchi salad on myself.

I chose to wear a pair of skinny jeans, black top with navy blue cardigan, pumps and my favorite military Jacket. I am not a fashionista but boo liked the outfit and that’s all the verification I needed since I had already approved it myself.

Date night

As I mentioned in my February and March 2016 goals, I want to be more intentional in my relationship with boo and one of the ways I am doing that is making time for us to enjoy things like date night or movie night or just a good night in.

What do you think of date night outfit? What is your go to date night attire?
