Looking back at each decade, I feel both ‘older’ and ‘younger’, I see the change in my features, the change in my way of life, the change in my personality and the experience itched on my face. I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.

2026 - 39, (Home, England), I am ready for this final year before my 40s but also ready for this next decade.
2016 - 29, (Oslo, Norway), this decade was about self discovery and building the life I dreamt about. The life that I am super proud of and truly grateful to be living. This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.
2006 - 19, (Glasgow, Scotland), I thought I was grown (look at the cheekbones 🤣🤣) and ready for the world, chiiiild was I wrong, let’s just say, I am still resolving the trauma the decade brought me but I am grateful because I met my best friends and made decisions for the future I wanted to have. (Spoiler alert - I did better than I dreamed).
1996 - 9, (Home, Zambia) this was my birthday but my little sister insisted she had to be the one in the middle. The only way we knew whose birthday it was, was by standing in the middle but this year I remember baby sister crying her eyes out and refusing 🤨
1988 - 9 months, (Chililabombwe, Zambia) although my mother looks tired and traumatised😟, I know I was loved and happy.

{September Must Have} Mint Coffee Body Scrub

Coffee Body Scrub? Tell me it’s a joke, I said when I first saw the article pop up in my feed on Facebook. I have a love/hate relationship with coffee, I LOVE the smell HATE the taste. Ok hate is a strong word, I DISLIKE the taste of coffee and not even sure when it started.

coffee body scrub

I am someone who exfoliates the whole body daily, I believe in getting rid of all the dead skin. I don’t exfoliate my face daily as I know it needs a breather due to being delicate. Ever since I picked up a pair of exfoliating gloves a few years back, I not looked back. Having tried a number of body scrubs over the years, I know which ones works well for my body. I love body scrubs as they leave my body feeling fresh after, but I havent tried coffee scrubs.

Coffee Body Scrub ~ Mint Temptation

Curiosity did indeed catch the cat and I went on to read further about benefits of using coffee body scrubs. When I was chosen to give the Coffee Body Scrub a try back in August, I took a chance and said yes. I had read enough articles about the advantages of using coffee scrubs, I wanted to try it for myself.

As mentioned already, I do love a good body scrub but coffee body scrub was something totally new to me. I get incorporating coffees in our foods since it’s a ‘food’ too but for beauty products?? I truly was intrigued and was happy to be asked to review the Mint Temptation Coffee Body Scrub.

PROs and CONs

When I first received the package, I was impressed with the design of the bag; simple but cute. Immediately upon opening the bag containing the coffee body scrub, I received an onslaught of strong mint smell. I love mint like the next person but just a tiny whiff and good lord my eyes watered. Though the mint scent was really strong, it was really refreshing after using the body scrub.

I decided one tiring night to use the coffee body scrub, I got so annoyed at all the coffee bits everywhere in my shower. I also made a mistake of using my white exfoliating gloves, 2 months on some bits are still there. Despite the annoyance, after use m body was left feeling fresh, rejuvenated and utter bliss washed over me. Apart from the great feeling I got, my skin felt tight and clean I guess it’s due to the caffeine.

About the product: From Love Scrub website

Perfect blend of organic ingredients with a mint kick will leave anyone tempted.. Tea tree mixed with amazing argan oil will cool and moisturize. While more than a hint of mint will stimulate circulation with this organic scrub – leaving you polished to perfection.

Mint Temptation Ingredients: peppermint oil, roast organic coffee, argan oil, tea tree oil, dead sea salt and aloe vera.

overall I think this mint temptation coffee scrub is great (at least for my skin) and works amazingly. Would I consider using this coffee scrub again, I would say a loud resounding yes.

*I was sent the coffee body scrub in exchange for an honest review, regardless all opinions are my own.*
