Looking back at each decade, I feel both ‘older’ and ‘younger’, I see the change in my features, the change in my way of life, the change in my personality and the experience itched on my face. I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.

2026 - 39, (Home, England), I am ready for this final year before my 40s but also ready for this next decade.
2016 - 29, (Oslo, Norway), this decade was about self discovery and building the life I dreamt about. The life that I am super proud of and truly grateful to be living. This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.
2006 - 19, (Glasgow, Scotland), I thought I was grown (look at the cheekbones 🤣🤣) and ready for the world, chiiiild was I wrong, let’s just say, I am still resolving the trauma the decade brought me but I am grateful because I met my best friends and made decisions for the future I wanted to have. (Spoiler alert - I did better than I dreamed).
1996 - 9, (Home, Zambia) this was my birthday but my little sister insisted she had to be the one in the middle. The only way we knew whose birthday it was, was by standing in the middle but this year I remember baby sister crying her eyes out and refusing 🤨
1988 - 9 months, (Chililabombwe, Zambia) although my mother looks tired and traumatised😟, I know I was loved and happy.

{Featured Brand} Ibiza Ice: White Isle and Sunset

Ibiza Ice is an environmentally friendly all-natural maker of sparkling fruit wine company. A company that loves the planet and is invested in making low-calorie, vegan and from natural flavours ingredients. Using sustainable stay-cool aluminum bottle which are 100% recyclable and easy to handle.

When most of us think of Ibiza, we conjure up the partying island of Spain and who wouldn’t. Because that is exactly what I thought when I saw the name but as soon as I saw wine I was intrigued. Ibiza ice is not a company I was familiar with prior to this collaboration. Those how know me know how much I love sweet wine and I just knew I would love Ibiza Ice.

November is the national pomegranate month {#NationalPomegranateMonth} and thanks to Ibiza ice I too am celebrating. When the opportunity arose to collaborate with the brand I couldn’t say no, I never say no to wine. There are two flavours to try; white isle sparkling wine {lychee, clime and watermelon} and Sunset {pomegranate}.

Ibiza Ice: White Isle and Sunset – Review

When the products arrived I did not know what the content was, it came in a small box inside a jiffy bag. I was not sure what to expect to be honest and when I opened the box I was pleasantly surprised. There sat two bottles of white isle and sunset sparkling wine. For some reason because it was ‘sparkling wine‘ I was reviewing I thought the bottles would be like champagne ones. But then to see the bottles similar to my favourite cider Kopparberg I was relieved I wouldn’t need a cork screw.

Though I was surprised the product came in a jiffy bag, the box itself is quite strong and sturdy. I intend to review it for shipping some breakables that I currently have at home. What I love about the bottles is you don’t need an opener it has one on them. I think that is just the coolest thing ever, now I don’t have to struggle finding an opener.

What I love about Ibiza Ice

Since having received the product I have been thinking it would be perfect for a family gathering or party. It is low both in alcohol percentage {5.5 ABV – alcohol by volume} and low in calories too. Its perfect drinks and bottle for a party especially with the ring-pull feature on the bottle cap. Another excellent feature is that the bottles are cool to touch and quick to chill. Everyone loves a cool drink at the party and Ibiza ice has you covered from festival to bar.

So far I had been holding off drinking the sparkling wine until my best friend arrived. I knew as my old university drinking buddy she would approve of the sparkling wine. We both loved the both sparkling wine and was quite taken with the taste of the drinks. I am a sucker for pomegranate so it is definitely my favourite but Lychee, lime and melon was an impressive combo.

Would I recommend the product!!

A big fat YES!!

I think like many people it is easy to recommend a good product to family and friends. With Thanksgiving and then the many Christmas parties to be attended, Ibiza ice is a great option to have.  When it comes to parties or family gathering it is not always easy to please everyone. I think this drink is such a great alternative to the usual sparkling wines on market.

If I have not yet convinced you that you should try Ibiza Ice, here is why I am recommending it:

  • Tastes great and makes awesome cocktails!
  • Low caloric drink made with natural flavours
  • No added sugar, no artificial ingredients.
  • Only 5.5% alcohol by volume
  • Environmentally friendly
  • Sustainable bottle which is easy to handle, keeps the drink cool and is 100% recyclable.
  • Its vegan

Ok, I’ve never heard of this product, but it reminds me of a similar product that I tried in Food Lion this past week. It was extremely light with a hint of flavor. It wasn’t bad, but I think I’d want something a bit heavier. Thanks for sharing, though!
