I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.

This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.
2006 - 19, (Glasgow, Scotland), I thought I was grown (look at the cheekbones 🤣🤣) and ready for the world, chiiiild was I wrong, let’s just say, I am still resolving the trauma the decade brought me but I am grateful because I met my best friends and made decisions for the future I wanted to have. Shoes for summer – Top 5 Summer Shoe Trends for 2018

The summer is well and truly here, which means plenty of barbecues, parties and days at the beach. It feels great to be able to enjoy longer and warmer days.

But, keeping your feet comfortable on the hotter days can be tricky. You need to wear the right footwear. Fortunately, firms like simplybe.co.uk make it a lot easier for you to do exactly that. They sell an amazing range of footwear including nearly 350 wide-fit versions.

Buying, stylish, roomy summer footwear has never been easier. But, you still have to choose the right pair. To help you to narrow things down a bit, here are 5 of the nicest options I have come across, so far.

Flat toe post sandals

Perhaps the biggest footwear trend for summer 2018 is totally flat shoes. Virtually, everyone is stocking them. So, if you like flats, now, is definitely the time to treat yourself to some new ones.

There are lots of lovely looking toe post sandals available. If you are one of those people who cannot wear flip-flops because the piece that goes between your toes rubs too much, still try out a pair out. Many of this year´s toe post sandals feature wide foot straps. This means the body of the sandal is held in place more, so you get far less rubbing than you would if you were wearing flip-flops.

Leg tie wedges

If you prefer something a bit higher, a pair of wedge sandals could be the perfect answer. They look great and offer plenty of stability, which puts far less strain on your feet. So, there is a far lower risk of your feet swelling and aching. The leg tie type is especially comfortable.

A pair of strappy medium-heel sandals

For a special evening out or an occasion like a summer wedding, a pair of strappy sandals with a medium height heel is perfect. They look feminine and stylish, especially if you choose to buy a pair in gold or silver.

Canvas pumps

Perhaps the most comfortable style of summer shoe is the canvas pump. They are flat, made from fabric that allows your feet to breathe and styled in a way that means they offer gentle support for the whole foot.

Most retailers stock at least a dozen different versions of this style of shoe. So, it is not hard to find a pair that fits in perfectly with your tastes and the clothes you already own.

Stylish loafers

Loafers are super comfortable. If you are planning a day´s sight-seeing they are the perfect choice. They look especially good when worn with jeans. But, you can also wear them with a casual style skirt, even a maxi dress.

Getting the fit right

Regardless, of the style of shoes or sandals, you choose to buy it is important to get the fit right. This article will help you to buy a pair of summer shoes that fit you well.

I wear shoes that are mostly functional, as I am on my feet a lot! I would like to have some dressy pair like the ones you mentioned, though! It’s nice to have some shoes for special occasions.

I’d prefer to wear shoes that are comfortable mostly flats. But a few heels and wedges here and there will do too.

I can’t wear the tall heels anymore. Flats and low shoes with small heels work good for me now. Plus I need a wide shoe so finding the perfect stylish shoe can be difficult sometimes.
