Ardencote Destination Spa Warwickshire
Ardencote allows you to experience a true relaxation and allows the stress to drift off. With a full range of treatments, Ardencote affords you a chance to relax and rejuvenate in its Destination Spa. It allows you to find ways to practice ‘me-time’ whilst you relax in various spa facilities available.
Ardencote Destination Spa is about an hour drive from Oxford via the A34 then M40. It is to locate in the Warwickshire countryside where you’re affordable the best way to relax. We were invited to witness the relaunch of the the Destination Spa and spend the night.

The relaunch party with drinks and nibbles was hosted in the Relaxation Lounge, a perfect place to catch up with your friends. This is an area where you can also enjoy a coffee and really relax during your visit. The Relaxation Lounge is equipped with comfy stunning armchairs and stylish Spa Pods to curl up in and relax.
We were given a tour of the Destination Spa and had an opportunity to try all the facilities. The staff where also available to offer hand massages in the Tranquility Lounge – relaxing room after Spa Treatment. We loved that Ardencote offers both indoor and outdoor spa areas perfect for whatever season.

Ardencote Destination Spa Facilities
After the relaunch party, we had the opportunity to use all of the facilities the spa offered. Being the first people to try out the refurbished spa, we had very high expectations. I am glad to report that our expectations where superseded and glad to be returning to the Spa.

Like many luxury spas, there is Spa Etiquette that needs to be followed and I incredible people to read it. Before we entered the spa facilities, we took a shower in the women’s changing rooms. The changing rooms have lockers {£1 refundable coin is needed}, toilets and blow dryers. After changing into our swimwear, we headed to the outdoor spa area for the heated swimming pool and hot tub.

The outdoor spa are has Tyrolean Kilo Sauna a perfect spot to unwind regardless of the weather. This Sauna warms your body, relieves pain and helps your stress melt away. It is thought this sauna can help with migraines, insomnia and the release of endorphins leaving you feeling calm.

Once we were done with the outdoor spa area, we moved indoors starting with the Tepidarium. Tepidarium offers a less intense experience, the room is designed to have lower heat and humidity. It is a great place to relax and unwind, leaving you feeling stress-free and energised. The Tepidarium is still warm enough to raise your body temperature and increase blood flow.
By this time, we were feeling very relaxed and enjoyed chatting with other guests. Our plan was to use all the facilities so we ventured to the foot spa and ice fountain. The foot spa helps to increase blood circulation, relieve pain and tension and relaxing. Whilst the Ice fountain helps to cool down your body temperature.

The night was still young so we ventured into the Himalayan Salt Sauna and the Aromatherapy Steam Room. The Himalayan Sauna helps to improve circulation and relaxes your muscles, helping to soothe aches and pains. Aromatherapy Steam Room is great for eliminating toxins from the body and relieves any pressure and aches and pains.
Ardencote Four Star Hotel
We were grateful that Ardencote offered us a complimentary night stay in their hotel. One we were done with the Sauna, we spent some time relaxing in the Tranquility Lounge. It would have been a shame to not experience all the indoor spa facilities so we used the indoor jacuzzi and pool.

The check-in process was simple, we were quickly shown to our room located in the courtyard. Ardencote Courtyard was opened in 2008, each room has a stunning view over either Outdoor Pool or 18 Hole Golf Course. Our room had the view of the Golf Course and was stunning watching the sunrise. The rooms offers all the standard room amenities tea and coffee making facilities.

One thing to note is that the Ardencote Hotel does not allow pets apart from guide dogs. The Courtyard rooms are conveniently located near the spa area making them a great place to enjoy a Spa break. Wi-Fi is offered all across the hotel as well as air conditioning.
The rooms are fitted with tablets which provide information about the hotel, spa, Brasserie and more. Tablets can be used in the rooms only for free of charge and can be used to search local interests.
Ardencote Brasserie|Wine & Dine
Having been informed that the hotel has an in-house Brasserie, we knew we had to check it out. The Brasserie is situated at the heart of Ardencote, overlooking the glorious Warwickshire Countryside. Ardencote’s menu has been designed by our award-winning Chef, Ian Buckle and ingredients where possible is sourced locally. The Brasserie Bar Menu is available 12pm – 9.30pm, and the full dinner menu is available 6pm – 9.30m.
The hotel also offers a bar area which offers an extensive range of Beers/Lagers, Wines, Spirits and Soft Drinks. There is also a Lounge is the perfect setting for a relaxing morning coffee, afternoon tea or Champagne lunch. The bar and lounge menu offers breakfast items, lighter bites, sandwiches including Afternoon Tea.

For dinner we chose Pan Seared Stone Bass, Cocotte Potatoes, Roast Heritage Beets, Celeriac Purée, Buttered Spinach, Butter Sauce (£17.95). This was the best pan seared stone bass we’ve ever had, it melted in the mouth. For dessert we opted for sorbets and Lemon Meringue Cheese Cake, Blueberry Ganache (£6.95).
Before we checked, we made sure to fuel our body for the trip back down to Oxford. Ardencote Brasserie offers a buffet style breakfast with a few options for cooked meal. We both opted for a full English Breakfast which included crispy bacon, scrambled eggs and seared sausages. It was a delicious breakfast selection and we made sure to stuff ourselves to the brim.

We had such a relaxing evening using the Ardencote Destination Spa facilities including chilling in the jacuzzi. Our dinner was absolutely delicious, had us licking the plates and the breakfast very filling. The newly refurbished Destination Spa is due to open in January 2019, make sure to check out the Day Spa Packages available.
