Back to school already? I hear you ask :), I know it’s shocking to me too. For some of us in the UK, we are just getting the hang of enjoying summer. Heck we still thinking summer and are relentless in our pursuit to enjoy the warm days. Far and in between they might be, we still cherishing them to the max.
I shared in my August Must Haves list (stationary anyone), that I am heading back to university this September. I will be attending part-time module based course with 3-days worth of teaching per module. Which means I won’t be going every month but when I choose to do the module. Learning will be continuous throughout the two years, it will be 75% self learning 25% taught.
I am super excited and super scared at the same time. Excited because I have been longing to improve on my current knowledge base. Scared because I feel as though I have forgotten everything I was taught. I am scared of failing even before I start, which is crazy I know but I am feeling like that.
Back to School ~ PostGrad Style
Now that that’s out-of-the-way, I thought I share my back to school postgrad style with you all. Though I say postgrad style, simply think of me like a kid at Christmas. I am going all the way with my back to school postgrad style.
Uniform (or lack thereof)
It’s not kindergarten nor high school but I am feeling as though I should have some sort of uniform for my postgrad style. Now the beauty is that it can be anything, no restrictions. I saw Asda George has some lovely school uniforms ready for back to school but I was thinking more like a new look jumpsuit for the cool months ahead.
School shoes
What is one meant to wear as a postgrad (yes I am milking it), noting special really but I felt whilst school shoes are cute and all, these House of Fraser ankle boots are what I should be rocking with that jumpsuit.
Outwear: Jumper or Blazer
I remember the hideous high school Blazers we were forced to wear and to make matters worse the Jumpers weren’t any better. So imagine my delight when I saw how much has changed since my day in high school, but then I got side tracked by some cute H&M jumpers.
Stationery
When it comes to stationery, we are all united as one because it doesn’t matter if you’re in school or not, one Must Have stationery. As bloggers we’ve seen some cute designs sold on etsy which most are made by fellow bloggers. During my recent shopping trip to Bristol, I may have just stopped and taken a moment to appreciate the cute stationery.
School Bags
I remember when I was a high school student, I went through several school backpacks. My mum always used to ask if whether I carried bricks or books, it was cool back then to have a heavy bag. Their are plenty of cute bags that I am currently looking at and finding it hard to choose just one.
Accessories
The weather will be turning very soon, well it seems to have already in some parts of the UK but the following essentials must be on everyone’s back to school list.
- Scarf
- Beanies or Hats
- Gloves
- Socks
There are plenty of things that I want to buy for my return to university and having a list of things is helping me put it all into perspective. We all know we can get carried away sometimes when it comes to shopping for back to school supplies. So remember to discuss what you want, write down a list and then go break the bank loose.
