{Beauty} L’oreal Lipsticks

Before my trip to Seoul earlier this month I decided to do a little bit of shopping for my friend and for myself. Those who know me know of my love for lipsticks. I was only 6 when I first fell in love with a red lipstick my mum used to rock. Every time there was an event she was attending she always wore red lipstick unless it somehow clashed with her outfit (which was rare) then she would just use lip balm or gloss. I am not a big fun of lip gloss and the lip balms I use them mostly at home when I am chillaxing as I never leave my house without slapping some lipstick on usually a red one.

I rarely go for other lip shades but when I do they tend to be bright pinks, purple or lilac but definitely no nudes as I don’t think they go well ok with my kind of skin tone.

L'oreal Paris Collection

L'oreal Paris Collection

Even though I am a huge lipstick lover I have never actually bought any L’Oreal lip products before, a totally new experience for me. For the last couple of years I was stuck on MAC’s Ruby woo which I still have and love then I slowly moved to Mirabella lipsticks and these are my daily wear lipsticks and they work so wonderfully.

As I am all about trying new things, I picked up L’oreal Paris Collection Exclusive color riche by Blake in Blake’s Pure Red (I just love my reds), L’oreal Paris color riche matte shade 430 mon jules and lastly a lip liner shade 374 intense plum.

L’Oreal Paris Lipstick Review

I have little to no experience with lip liners as they don’t usually work well for me. Somehow they smudge easily and just ruin my entire look so I avoid them. But in the name of trying new things I took the plunge and tried this lip liner and I am impressed.

  • It glides on easily
  • Though fades after a couple of teas, it does have a lovely shade
  • Doesn’t smell
  • Doesn’t smudge easily
  • Keeps the lipstick in check

Where shall I start with the beautiful shade of colour. Like I have mentioned many a time in my lipstick posts, I love my reds but this shade right here is where it is at.

  • The packaging is awesome, I mean just look at it
  • The colour lasts long even though it transfers easily
  • It has an incredible intensity
  • Doesn’t easily smudge
  • I look good wearing it

I love my reds and there is no two ways about it. I have loved reds since I was six years old and the love ain’t fading. This as my first time trying this lipstick and I was super impressed

  • Lasts really long, does transfer too but a lot less compared to other lipsticks
  • Both good and bad is the intensity of the lipstick, I have had to use lip stick remover to remove all the paint it leaves behind
  • Smudges a lot less compared to other brands
  • Has a lovely scent to it
  • Perfect casing

I am truly loving these lipsticks and highly recommend them to my fellow lipstick lovers.

What do you think of the colours I chose?

I love both of these colors. I’ve been trying to plunge deeper into the world of make up by trying budget friendly brands. While I love MAC just as much as the next girl, spending $18+ one one tube of lipstick isn’t conducive to quickly growing an arsenal of lip popping colors. I’ll have to give these two a try.

I love the 430 lipstick! Such a bold colour and unlike anything I currently have in my makeup bag. Good to hear it lasts long too because I hate it when really strong colours start to fade and it makes your lips look a bit weird midway through the night :/

I’m an if I’ve got time kinda girl ha ha you’ve def chosen my colours though. I have dark eyes and olive skin, reds and Browns always look so dramatic on me, funnily enough, I always use lip liner, even just day to day…. I like to enhance my lips because I have sensitive eyes and can’t have too much make up around them.

It’s so easy to just pick up the old faithfuls. For my wedding the makeup artist convinced me to go for a vibrant pink. It looked amazing but I’ve not tried it again
