Looking back at each decade, I feel both ‘older’ and ‘younger’, I see the change in my features, the change in my way of life, the change in my personality and the experience itched on my face. I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

2026 - 39, (Home, England), I am ready for this final year before my 40s but also ready for this next decade.
2016 - 29, (Oslo, Norway), this decade was about self discovery and building the life I dreamt about. The life that I am super proud of and truly grateful to be living. This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.
2006 - 19, (Glasgow, Scotland), I thought I was grown (look at the cheekbones 🤣🤣) and ready for the world, chiiiild was I wrong, let’s just say, I am still resolving the trauma the decade brought me but I am grateful because I met my best friends and made decisions for the future I wanted to have. (Spoiler alert - I did better than I dreamed).
1996 - 9, (Home, Zambia) this was my birthday but my little sister insisted she had to be the one in the middle. The only way we knew whose birthday it was, was by standing in the middle but this year I remember baby sister crying her eyes out and refusing 🤨
1988 - 9 months, (Chililabombwe, Zambia) although my mother looks tired and traumatised😟, I know I was loved and happy.

{Fashion Monday} City Tripping in Stockholm

City Tripping, a concept I only got aquanted with when I started blogging 4 years ago. The rush and rise in millennial travels across the world has brought this concept to left, right and centre. I love city tripping, if I had it my way I would travel somewhere every weekend. Whilst I was able to accomplish this last year with the #take12trips travel challenge, it wasn’t weekly but at least one weekend a month. Traveling is an addiction that I hope never to be cured from and hope whatever my future holds travel continues.

City Tripping in Stockholm

As I type this post {on my iPhone} I am on the bus to Skavsta Airport from Stockholm central station. I have just had one of the best weekends of 2017 and first experience staying at a hostel. Hostels have always had a bad reputation in my eyes but Generator Stockholm definitely helped me change my thinking. Not only was it the most comfortable place ever, I met so many solo female traveled and locals. This is an experience I am hoping to replicate throughout 2017 and I pray I do.

Experienced city trippers know the importance of dressing right for city tripping. There is nothing worse than wearing a cute outfit which is very impractical and uncomfortable. The idea of city tripping is trying to explore your destination and take in what the city has to offer. With that in mind, the outfit(s) I wore throughout my city tripping in Stockholm was everything comfortable.

** City Tripping outfit: Skinny Jeans {New Look}, Canvas {Korean shop}, Leather Jacket {New Look}, Black Top {Primark}, Bag {Bershka} & Scarf {New Look} **

Stockholm is such an amazing city and I will be sharing all about it in the next few weeks. One thing that is absolutely amazing is that Stockholm was on both my •30before• travel-Edit bucketlist and •visit 17 places in 2017 bucketlist•. It’s always fun when you’re able to tick items off the bucketlist and can not wait to tick off more.

You look great. I always wear scarfs when it’s cold. Great finishing touch. Stockholm reminds me of Holland where I’m from. Very nice post.

I hadn’t heard too much about Stockholm until my friend ended up moving there and living there for two years. He came back with the best pictures and best stories. AND their maternity leave in Sweden IS UNREAL!

I loved your travel style. And rightly said that there is no use of a cute outfit if you ain’t comfortable in it. Looking forward for a city tripping soon!
