Looking back at each decade, I feel both ‘older’ and ‘younger’, I see the change in my features, the change in my way of life, the change in my personality and the experience itched on my face. I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

2026 - 39, (Home, England), I am ready for this final year before my 40s but also ready for this next decade.
2016 - 29, (Oslo, Norway), this decade was about self discovery and building the life I dreamt about. The life that I am super proud of and truly grateful to be living. This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.
2006 - 19, (Glasgow, Scotland), I thought I was grown (look at the cheekbones 🤣🤣) and ready for the world, chiiiild was I wrong, let’s just say, I am still resolving the trauma the decade brought me but I am grateful because I met my best friends and made decisions for the future I wanted to have. (Spoiler alert - I did better than I dreamed).
1996 - 9, (Home, Zambia) this was my birthday but my little sister insisted she had to be the one in the middle. The only way we knew whose birthday it was, was by standing in the middle but this year I remember baby sister crying her eyes out and refusing 🤨
1988 - 9 months, (Chililabombwe, Zambia) although my mother looks tired and traumatised😟, I know I was loved and happy.

December 2016 Goals

December 2016 goals, yes you read right. You’re not drunk (well as far as I know) but we are in December now. 2016 has gone by in a breeze, it feels like it I blinked and poof we in December. Everyone is in a mad dash to get the presents sorted especially for our families abroad. Here I am sat in shock because I still can not believe it’s December and I am sharing my December 2016 goals.

Before we take a dive into my December 2016 goals setting, let’s recap on last month’s goals. December 2016 goals

November 2016 Goals

  • Attend Classes: First week in November I have 2 classes to attend, I hope to make these. SUCCESS
  • Book weekend getaway: A friend and I are thinking of heading to Rome next month, this will only happen if I do my assignments. SUCCESS – ended up going to Milan and Venice.
  • Create a schedule: I am in need of a good foolproof schedule planner to plan rest of October until December 31st 2016. Failed – still looking for a good planner
  • Saving for first car: Provided I pass my scheduled driving test, I am hoping to get a small car to get me around. In Progress.

December 2016 Goals

  • Weekend getaway, I am heading to nice next weekend and need to ensure I have everything ready.
  • Christmas presents for family. I am hoping to do a bit of Christmas shopping now that it’s December. Not decided exactly what though but still thinking.
  • Buy a car. This has become more apparent now than before. I am hoping to head to an auction house soon to buy a car.
  • Spa Day in London. A friend is arriving from Seoul South Korea that I always visit so I want to treat her.

These are my goals for the final month in 2016.

I always plan to sort out a schedule but it never works, so I prefer to think of myself as being spontaneous or at least that is what I am telling myself!

November seemed like a successful month, well done. Having a car makes such a difference if you live in an area that can accomodate one. I have friends that simply cannot, and wouldn’t. For me, life would be really tough without the old banger I have on my drive. Hope it all goes well for you, and you get something that works for you. Also hope the rest goes to plan. You can do it! And yes, apparently it is December. How did that happen?

Public transport is pretty good but I am limited in other areas so would be awesome to get a car and starting driving myself instead of waiting
