Looking back at each decade, I feel both ‘older’ and ‘younger’, I see the change in my features, the change in my way of life, the change in my personality and the experience itched on my face. I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.

2026 - 39, (Home, England), I am ready for this final year before my 40s but also ready for this next decade.
2016 - 29, (Oslo, Norway), this decade was about self discovery and building the life I dreamt about. The life that I am super proud of and truly grateful to be living. This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.
2006 - 19, (Glasgow, Scotland), I thought I was grown (look at the cheekbones 🤣🤣) and ready for the world, chiiiild was I wrong, let’s just say, I am still resolving the trauma the decade brought me but I am grateful because I met my best friends and made decisions for the future I wanted to have. (Spoiler alert - I did better than I dreamed).
1996 - 9, (Home, Zambia) this was my birthday but my little sister insisted she had to be the one in the middle. The only way we knew whose birthday it was, was by standing in the middle but this year I remember baby sister crying her eyes out and refusing 🤨
1988 - 9 months, (Chililabombwe, Zambia) although my mother looks tired and traumatised😟, I know I was loved and happy.

{Fashion Monday} New Year Eve & Day outfit ideas

New Year Eve and Day outfit ideas is the last Fashion post of the year, I can not believe this is the last Monday of the year.

NYE and Day Fashion outfit
How did we get to the last Monday in 2015 already? I mean how did time move so fast? I feel like just a moment ago I was celebrating entering 2015 and now in 4 short days we will be entering 2016. Time has been moving really fast I tell you and I am sure most of you are in the same position as me, shocked but completely happy and can not wait to see what the new year will bring.
I thought I put together some ideas of what outfits I would like to wear for the new year’s eve trek to London (to watch the fire works) and an outfit to wear to church to open the year.
It has  not been too cold lately so I thought wearing some shorts with a nice sweater/jumper with a beanie would go down a storm. I love wearing shorts all season though it is not always a good idea. I should have added some tights but y’all know how I feel about tights but be assured I will wear them to keep warm.
I thought this fancy sleeveless dress in nude is the perfect dress to start the new year on, though I do not have it I am looking for something similar as I think it totally rocks.
For those who do not feel like rocking a dress and just want something laid back then some jeans would do the trick in my book but to make it fancier I would go for ripped jeans then pair it with some wedges a string top (if not too cold) and a nice warm coat/jacket.
I have added a few accessories but y’all know though I love jewellery in most cases I prefer to keep it as a minimum and I think these outfits definitely call for minimal jewellery.
What do you think of my New Year’s Eve and Day outfit ideas? What do you plan on rocking to close 2015 and open 2016?

I was looking for some outfit ideas for my new year and one that I can put on on a chilly weather. I am in love with that brown boot as I always love something that is slightly over the knee. Thanks for sharing.

I’m a bit jealous you’re going to London, I love London. Unfortunately I live in Belgium, but I try to go to London every other year. I like your less-is-more attitude for your outfits, with a little festive touch! I’m staying home with my fiancee on NYE, so I’m going to keep it simple with a black and grey outfit and some silver jewelry, I think. 😉
