Manicure Monday – NYX fairly pink

Hi there, so firstly thank you all for encouraging me to continue with my Manicure Monday posts. I love sharing my manicure of the week and even more so I am actually enjoying painting my nails. The last time I had a manicure done professionally was over 2 years ago now. With beauty boxes and Poundland packing all kinds of different brands of nail polish I at the moment do not feel the need to go to the salon to have my nails done. My application is far from perfect but I save £25 every time I do my own nails because manicures in these parts are not cheap at all, anyway enough of the rumbling and onto the post.

I got this polish by NYX in my June Love Me Beauty Box, it’s in shade “fairly pink” and it’s an advanced formula which goes for £3.99 on the market. For the frugal me the price is not too bad. I also love that it has been sent at this time just in time for summer.

{Review} The nail polish smells really nice and the scent doesn’t hang around the room. I have bought some nail polish in the past which even after several days you can smell it in the room as well as on your nails (even though it’s dry it smelt fresh like just applied it). This nail polish is really really quick dry like 60 seconds quick but I would give it 2 more minutes just so when you lean on your fingers (as you do) it doesn’t imprint whatever you leaned on your nails. The nail polish bottle is 15ml and I just love the shape of it not really seen one like that. The paint brush is thin enough and has great application though I am no expert you can see I have not smudged (much). Overall I am impressed with this polish and I would recommend to you all plus the price is just right.

    Love me a good hot pink color, especially for summer! I have it on my toes right now, but have never ventured to put it on my fingernails!

    I’m rockin’ lipstick red on my toes, as per usual. I just like the bright red look the best!

    I would’ve loved this shade in my Love Me Beauty Box! Instead I got a really sheer, pearlescent, pale pink which really isn’t my thing. Like you, I love the packaging. Very different.

    Love your rambling by the way, I don’t get manicures either – DIY all the way 🙂
