Hi there! Happy Friday and as I promised (requested too) here is my second post in my series of products I regret buying and this week it’s Gadgets – eBay & DHgate. I will say I love eBay and buy things there often but the lot below left a bad taste in my mouth. Let me know what you think and if you’ve had similar experiences.
1. Ipad connector – the first connector I bought was wrong for my iPad so my bad, I went back to same store and bought the correct one. When it arrived I read the instructions and proceeded to use it. To my disappointment it did not work so I waited till the weekend up try it out and it key telling me “item not recognised, functionality not accepted” in English that means it ain’t gonna work. So regretted spreading my £3.50 on not working items.
2. Mini tripod stand – I am not good with measurements so even though it said mini plus dimensions I was thinking small enough to take full picture with. Well it does that when I sling it onto my dresser but it’s legs are a bit wably and I am always scared it will drop my camera.
3. iPad stand – well this was one waste of space kinda item, my iPad did not even like being put in it so kept falling. Not sure if I will head back to this buyer.
4. Fake galaxy phone (DHgate) – a while back I wanted a galaxy phone (Korean version). Well I got Korean version o’right just it turned out to be a fake of a fake can you believe that lol fake of a fake. That was a new one on me and now my buying of mobiles is restricted to the UK shores only.
5. 5-in-1 connector – this like the iPad connector had same faults and now I feel like I am collecting a lot of junk for no other reason than I enjoy it lol x
So that’s the second post in the products I regret buying series. How good are you at purchasing electrical goods? My fault in being too frugal and trusting wrong people too much x
Now onto the freebie Friday, this week I am giving away £10 amazon gift card. To be in with a chance to win, use the rafflecopter and follow the instructions and good luck.

Buying from eBay can be a bit touch and go at times. You really are investing your trust and hoping for the best. Luckily my purchases have all been OK, touch wood!
Mia Myrabev says
I agree it’s touch and go, some sellers I have been really impressed with especially when I got my juicer. The seller was amazing and I gt great product x

I am saving for a new lens for my camera. I have drawer of useless gadgets. Mobile chargers, the instant ones, mini speakers, docking stations, why do we do it???
Mia Myrabev says
I think at the time when buying we think and give them the benefit of the doubt until we get them and that nagging feeling confirms it all, we bought crap lol x

I have a bunch of tech stuff I regret buying. I bought a cord for my iPhone that was supposed to speed up charging time. Instead, it just broke my phone.
Mia Myrabev says
I once bought and iPhone cord too and it died after two days of use, I was pissed off but I know the buy and gave the feedback needed x
Leanna Ranieri says
I am so guilty of this! I know I don’t need it, yet buy it. Or when something is less expensive so I buy it and then the quality sucks! But sometimes you have to try it for future reference!
Mia Myrabev says
I agree sometimes it is for future reference
Shipra Taneja says
Aw, I have some regrets like this too!! I’m so sorry you had to go through buyer’s remorse, but I guess you can save $ next time! 🙂
Mia Myrabev says
Yep next time I can definitely retire x
Mia Myrabev says
Hahahaha yep I could not believe it when I got told, since it wasn’t doing what I needed it to do I got it check and oh boy nothing inside was real. Wish they had just fold me a Nokia brick that would give been better x
Caity @ Where The Heart Is says
I feel like I always make this mistake and buy things I either a) do not need at all and will never use or b) think I know about them but soon find out they are utter crap! So glad you share this stuff so I know what not to buy!
Mia Myrabev says
I know what you mean, I always fall in (b) and this annoys me so much x

We are pretty good when it comes to electronics – I do a ton of research before we buy, it’s everything else we are bad for – kitchen appliances, toys for the kids…that sort of stuff
Mia Myrabev says
I am crap at electronics so now leaving it to the professionals lol x
Karissa Ancell says

I’ve reached the stage in life where I’ve stopped buying anything unnecessary. In fact, my husband and I have just sent a load of things to auction. Sad, but it has to be done while you’re still able.
Mia Myrabev says
It’s true I am done “collecting” junk and read to spend on things important and worth while x
