Looking back at each decade, I feel both ‘older’ and ‘younger’, I see the change in my features, the change in my way of life, the change in my personality and the experience itched on my face. I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.

2026 - 39, (Home, England), I am ready for this final year before my 40s but also ready for this next decade.
2016 - 29, (Oslo, Norway), this decade was about self discovery and building the life I dreamt about. The life that I am super proud of and truly grateful to be living. This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.
2006 - 19, (Glasgow, Scotland), I thought I was grown (look at the cheekbones 🤣🤣) and ready for the world, chiiiild was I wrong, let’s just say, I am still resolving the trauma the decade brought me but I am grateful because I met my best friends and made decisions for the future I wanted to have. (Spoiler alert - I did better than I dreamed).
1996 - 9, (Home, Zambia) this was my birthday but my little sister insisted she had to be the one in the middle. The only way we knew whose birthday it was, was by standing in the middle but this year I remember baby sister crying her eyes out and refusing 🤨
1988 - 9 months, (Chililabombwe, Zambia) although my mother looks tired and traumatised😟, I know I was loved and happy.

Socks Tea and Music ~ Review

Disclaimer: I was sent these products in exchange for an honest review, regardless, all opinions are 100% my own. There was no monetary exchange except for store credit to purchase the item with some of these products.

Socks tea and music has been put together to share with you mini reviews I have put together for different products. I say this often in my blog, I am forever grateful to all the brands and PRs that choose to work with me and my blog. Though the title is socks tea and music, I have a few more items that I will be giving a mini review of including the Tangle Teezeer combo for thick & curly hair which you know your girl has.

Socks…

Though it’s summer (dingding UK wake up)💋, the weather is not exactly replicating the right season so when I was asked to review some lovely socks recently I jumped at the opportunity. I am not sure about you but having plain socks is all fun until you can’t match them anymore. This happens all the time with my blacks, whites and greys but I think my mismatch days are now behind me.

Chattyfeet socks – I hadn’t heard of them before being sent the socks and I can honestly say I love them. They are cute with characteristic prints on them. I love that they are soft and I don’t sweat when I am wearing them so I have been happily wearing them whilst chilling at home or whilst at the gym. Recently when I had the misfortune of sleeping at the airport due to an early morning flight, my lovely socks came in handy to the delight of many who saw me take off my shoes.

Tea…

British weather is one of the most unpredictable weather ever. One minute I was freezing and rocking my chatty feet socks and before you know it I was trying out different iced tea recipes. I am someone who loves a good cuppa everyday and it’s unheard of for me to go without one but when it’s so hot (rarely) what is one to do but make iced tea to quench the thirst but still have my dose of tea.

Teapigs – another brand I was not familiar with prior to being sent the different teas they offer. Those who’ve visited my house know how much I love tea and how much I owe. It’s not even funny how many teas I have in my home, let’s just say I won’t be buying any more this year. I drink tea 3-5 times a day whilst at work and when I return home. One thing I don’t have in my huge tea collection is tea that I can make iced tea with without worrying about how much sugar I will be adding. Tea pigs tea is sweet enough without adding any sugar and you still have a nice cuppa of iced tea. I was sent five (5) different flavours to try: super fruit, lemon & Ginger, rhubarb & Ginger, Darjeeling earl grey and liquorice & peppermint. The tea bags are biodegradable which makes them environmentally friendly and uses a quality whole leaf. The teas are naturally caffeine free too.

Gifts…

Who doesn’t like personalised gifts? I know for one I love having personalised gifts and think they are one of the best and most personal gifts you can give a loved one or a friend. I have had my share of personalised gifts but never tried personalised phone cases until I was asked if I wanted to try one.

Mr Nutcase – last week I was fortunate enough to be contacted by the company after they saw my comment on another bloggers post. I was touched about how they found me and honoured that I get to try out one of their services/products. I chose to have a personalised iPhone case cover with my nephew’s face printed on it. I was very impressed by how easy the website was to use, you have an option of choosing pictures from your computer or even Instagram and Facebook once you’ve chosen the phone brand and model. You then position the picture how you want to appear, you can have a 3-D view to see how it would look like before placing an order. Once happy, placing an order is easy and you have options on how you want to pay. I had my phone case delivered within 2 days of placing the order.

Music…

Bento speaker – I was sent this speaker a while back since I love listening to music whilst I work. When I am in the office at work I can’t play music loud so I always have headphones whilst I work away but when I am working from home, it’s a different story. I am a social person and need people around me to talk to but I also value time alone. But when you’re working from home and live alone like me you have all the ‘alone time’ you could ever need so I either switch on the TV for background noise whilst I work or I play music. The Bento wireless speaker is a sizeable speaker which is portable and very easy to manage. Once it’s been fully charged it can last up to 2 weeks without running out of power. It comes with two cables, one to charge the speaker and one to connect to your device if you need them but with close contact between speaker and any smart phone it works wirelessly. I have been impressed with this speaker and love the base play you hear when playing good songs with good base in them.

Hair…

Tangle Teezeer Combo – those of us with really thick hair would appreciate having such a combo in our collection. I welcomed an opportunity to try this combo out as my Afro is from another planet. It’s difficult for me to combo my hair or maintain it naturally so I am always having it braided but I super impressed by how good this combo is. I was able to combo through the tangle of my hair with ease and loved how my head felt like I was having a massaged whilst I was using it. The combo is both strong (doesn’t break in your hair) and soft (doesn’t scratch your head).

I hope you have enjoyed reading my socks tea and music plus extras post. Have you ever heard of Chattyfeet, teapigs, Mr Nutcase, Bento wireless speakers and Tangle Teezeer?

And there’s really nothing better to pair a fun cozy pair of socks with than an equally satisfying tea! Thanks for sharing…no I have socks and tea to collect!

First of all I love the socks! I can’t wait to see the rest of their collection! I know my kids would love to have some of these to chose from each day! And my kids have been asking for a little speaker to use in their bedrooms. This little Bento speaker looks like the perfect size. I will have to look into getting one. Thanks for all of the great reviews! And the picture of your nephew is adorable!
