Looking back at each decade, I feel both ‘older’ and ‘younger’, I see the change in my features, the change in my way of life, the change in my personality and the experience itched on my face. I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.

2026 - 39, (Home, England), I am ready for this final year before my 40s but also ready for this next decade.
2016 - 29, (Oslo, Norway), this decade was about self discovery and building the life I dreamt about. The life that I am super proud of and truly grateful to be living. This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.
2006 - 19, (Glasgow, Scotland), I thought I was grown (look at the cheekbones 🤣🤣) and ready for the world, chiiiild was I wrong, let’s just say, I am still resolving the trauma the decade brought me but I am grateful because I met my best friends and made decisions for the future I wanted to have. (Spoiler alert - I did better than I dreamed).
1996 - 9, (Home, Zambia) this was my birthday but my little sister insisted she had to be the one in the middle. The only way we knew whose birthday it was, was by standing in the middle but this year I remember baby sister crying her eyes out and refusing 🤨

{Fashion Monday} Stylish and Comfortable

Stylish and comfortable describes how I choose to dress 90% of the time. I work in an office so I must have some resemblance of stylish and comfortable worker. I am also one of those people who needs to be comfortable 💯 percent of the time. This can present a challenge at times but that is the fun of it all, playing dress up.

Venice

Recently I was in Venice for a weekend getaway and I found the perfect outfit for touring in. We had planned our getaway such that we would spend a lot of time exploring this glorious city. Though we didn’t manage to explore Milan, we explored Venice extensively and I love that I was stylish and comfortable throughout.

Though I didn’t put much effort into this outfit, all I needed was to be warm enough, stylish and comfortable. All the pieces I used I have had for forever and it was nice to recycle them.

New Look leather jacket and ripped jeans.

Addidas trainers.

H&M scarf.

Cheapass sunglasses.

Primark camisole top and cardigan.

Bag, unknown {was a present}.

Though I was unsure of how the weather would be in Venice, I decided to dress like I was home in  England. My fellow Brits know how chilly it can get here, I am glad to say it paid off as it was a bit chilly in Venice. A couples hours into our tour of Venice and the Islands it warmed up but I still didn’t have to take anything off. I do claim many of the time that I don’t always dress for the weather. Lately though I have been putting more of an effort into checking the weather forecast before I leave the house.

I also realised after walking for over 4 hours exploring Venice that choosing trainers was the best thing ever. I was stylish and comfortable in my own way without much effort. In hindsight it was also ingenious of me to pack my sunglasses as it became quite sunny. I had such a lovely time in Venice and I can not wait to share all about it in the next few days.

You look so stylish and fab in these outfits. Finding a balance between the cold weather and looking good can be very challenging. Taking the sunglasses with you was a very well calculated plan. I wouldn’t have thought of that in a million years.

You look both stylish and comfy! I always prefer to wear comfortable pair of shoes when I travel. I had a mistake once when I wore a pair of wedges when I traveled from Philippines to the US. It was such a bad idea because airports in the US are way bigger than here. When I arrived at the hotel, my feet felt really sore.
