Looking back at each decade, I feel both ‘older’ and ‘younger’, I see the change in my features, the change in my way of life, the change in my personality and the experience itched on my face. I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.

2026 - 39, (Home, England), I am ready for this final year before my 40s but also ready for this next decade.
2016 - 29, (Oslo, Norway), this decade was about self discovery and building the life I dreamt about. The life that I am super proud of and truly grateful to be living. This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.
2006 - 19, (Glasgow, Scotland), I thought I was grown (look at the cheekbones 🤣🤣) and ready for the world, chiiiild was I wrong, let’s just say, I am still resolving the trauma the decade brought me but I am grateful because I met my best friends and made decisions for the future I wanted to have. (Spoiler alert - I did better than I dreamed).
1996 - 9, (Home, Zambia) this was my birthday but my little sister insisted she had to be the one in the middle. The only way we knew whose birthday it was, was by standing in the middle but this year I remember baby sister crying her eyes out and refusing 🤨
1988 - 9 months, (Chililabombwe, Zambia) although my mother looks tired and traumatised😟, I know I was loved and happy.

{Travel} Suntransfers Review

When I started solo traveling I knew the most important thing for me was my safety, no point getting hurt as that will just spoil the mood and put you off traveling alone. I admire backpackers who just travel to the unknown place (to them) and set about exploring by making decisions as they go. Yes I am one who makes plans as I go but that’s for when I have safely arrived at my destination (aka hotel or hotel) and figure out where is the best place to visit but never when I just land.

When I am planning my solo travels and even travels with friends (I am the group planner) I always look into how I (or we) will get from the airport to the hotel/hostel. I will research what is the best way to get to the hotel, I will call the hotel and check if they have any recommendations or estimate on price if they talk about taxis or if they offer the pick up service; how much they charge. I am a cautious person in that respect, I don’t like leaving things to chance and want to plan my to and from airport and the earlier I plan this the better.

When I booked my girls weekend to Prague this gone January I looked at the time we were expected to arrive in Prague (almost midnight ended up being 2am the following morning), how far the hotel was from the airport and how much the taxis cost plus I called the hotel for recommendations. On booking.com (where possible) they provide you with a travel guide, this is from recommendations from fellow travelers and at times they also provide details on car rentals and for those of us who want airport transfers they provide options for that too. I stumbled upon Suntransfers whilst reviewing the booking.com recommendations by other travelers, I checked out if they had services from Prague airport to my hotel and they did. What was awesome about Suntransfers was they give you options to choose Private Cars, Shared cars or Bus transfers obviously I opted for private car like I had done in Slovenia with Go Opti. Though to some it would look costly to pay £30 to get picked up from airport, dropped off at your hotel and get picked up at an agreed time on your date of departure from hotel to airport I think it is not and its one I will continue to do.

The website is so easy to use, you asked to put in the airport of arrival, flight details (airline plus expected time of arrival and flight no.) and location of your hotel. From this they are able to calculate how much this will cost plus you get to choose what time you want picking up from your destination back to the airport. When we were in Prague, I had chosen 2 hours before my flight and didn’t change this as I was happy with the choice but with Brno, Czech Republic and Warsaw, Poland I realised my hotel was actually really close to the hotel so I didn’t need to be picked up that early for the airport and my drivers were happy to accommodate my changes. One thing Suntransfers prides itself on is offering drivers who speak English and I found that really refreshing as traveling across Europe not everyone speaks English so it’s nice the first person who you come in contact with after customs speaks English and you can get some tips from them and what the best spots in town are etc.

For my Brno trip I noticed too late that the hotel only accepted cash, when I realised this I asked the driver if he could take me to the nearest cash point whilst we were heading to my hotel and he happily accommodated without extra charge which is pretty decent of them as not many companies would do that. Another reason I love airport transfers and specifically Suntransfers is because you pay everything in advance and don’t have to worry about travel expenses, I am busy enjoying my getaway knowing to and from airport is sorted.  Suntransfers waited 2 hrs for us to arrive in Prague when my flight got delayed, no extra charge!! Now who else can rival this? We arrived in Prague, driver had my name on the plate reader, got our luggage and gave us bottled water and conversed with us throughout the journey, he also made sure we had checked into our hotel before he left talk about good service.

I am not sure if Suntransfers are outside Europe but if you’re ever in Europe and looking for airport transfer you can trust, rely on to offer a great service and affordable then consider Suntransfers.

*This is NOT a sponsored post, I just love this company*
