Looking back at each decade, I feel both ‘older’ and ‘younger’, I see the change in my features, the change in my way of life, the change in my personality and the experience itched on my face. I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

2026 - 39, (Home, England), I am ready for this final year before my 40s but also ready for this next decade.
2016 - 29, (Oslo, Norway), this decade was about self discovery and building the life I dreamt about. The life that I am super proud of and truly grateful to be living. This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.
2006 - 19, (Glasgow, Scotland), I thought I was grown (look at the cheekbones 🤣🤣) and ready for the world, chiiiild was I wrong, let’s just say, I am still resolving the trauma the decade brought me but I am grateful because I met my best friends and made decisions for the future I wanted to have. (Spoiler alert - I did better than I dreamed).
1996 - 9, (Home, Zambia) this was my birthday but my little sister insisted she had to be the one in the middle. The only way we knew whose birthday it was, was by standing in the middle but this year I remember baby sister crying her eyes out and refusing 🤨
1988 - 9 months, (Chililabombwe, Zambia) although my mother looks tired and traumatised😟, I know I was loved and happy.

Upgrade Your Workouts with Loom Footwear

Sponsored

Which do you prefer, indoor or outdoor workouts? Regardless of your preference, its time to upgrade your workouts with Loom Footwear. A brand known for its breathable shoes that are easy to clean, lightweight and super comfortable everything you need to up your game regardless of whether you are working out indoors or outdoors. Personally, I am a lover of indoor ‘choreographed’ workouts where I am instructed what I should be doing, when and for how long. The only outdoor activity I will subscribe to is going for long walks (not hikes) early in the morning to start my day energised and the blood pumping.

For the first time this year, I forgo the usual ‘new year, new me’ mantra and decided not to join the gym at the beginning of January but instead aimed for end of the month. I did not want to be another statistic, I wanted to make the change at the time that worked for me not societal pressures. Working out is proven to be good for your overall wellbeing from physical to mental health and this is one of the many reasons I decided this year would be the year I went back fully without talking myself out of attending. If you are someone who has resumed their love for working out then its time to upgrade your workouts with Loom Footwear and in this post I will share some of my reasons why.

One of my all time favourite type of workout is the Les Mills ‘Body Pump’, I love everything about the types of moves we do even the 900+ repetitions in 45 minutes. Initially when I joined my current gym a few years back, the one thing that often irritated me about my workout shoes were that they had absolutely no grip and during the times when I had to hold even a 30-second plank (felt like 10 minutes), I found myself slipping backwards. This was never fun but knowing that the Loom footwear ‘contains non-marking rubber soles that will provide excellent traction‘ that makes it slip resistant makes me wish I had a pair back then.

Every weekend when I am not travelling, I am often out with my friend doing our 6km walk early in the morning and one thing I lament about is, I wish I didn’t need to always wear walking boots for such short walks. I would like to wear sneakers that were super comfortable, had ‘the perfect cushioning system that would maximise comfort and prevent injuries and strain‘. The last thing you want is to sustain injury from a short walk like the one we often do early Saturday mornings to start our weekends.

What has impressed me the most about the Loom footwear is that, it’s not only; 100% breathable, flexible, sustainably made, lightweight, looks better than sneakers but, they also ‘destroy bacteria that creates foot odour and fungal infections‘ which I think is absolutely incredible. One of my pet peeves is stinky sneakers, it is so bad that when mine start to smell and I can’t get rid of the smell regardless of what I do, I always take the opportunity to replace them. This can get costly pretty quickly especially when I am using the trainers a lot to work out and the odour starts occurring too soon for comfort.

I am super impressed with the brand from the research I had done so far and think it would make an excellent addition to my own workout gear. The brand caters to both men and women and I am loving this pair for the women, I have an eye on it.

Now that we have talked about everything to love about the Loom footwear, it’s time to start looking at the cost of these beauties. At the moment, there is a sale and you can get your own pair for £75 ($99) but the original retail price is £190 ($249.99) – these are not cheap by any means. Personally, for the quality of the footwear, I would consider this an investment in yourself, after all, its time to upgrade your workout footwear (to Loom Footwear). So, what are you waiting for, go ahead and invest in yourself and pick up a pair from Loom Footwear.

I love this sneaker! I have this in black color and it is very comfortable even I’m wearing it for hours. I also like that the shoe lace got a reflector effect!

These look like the perfect workout sneaker. I tend to workout outdoors and can’t stand it when my existing trainers get all damp! These would be a great upgrade,
