Victors Restaurant describes itself as a Hampton inspired restaurant offering modern American cuisine on small plates. With two successful restaurants in London and Oxford plus a third on the way, Victors Restaurant offers something unique. The menu is designed in such a way that guests can socialise, share and enjoy the food.
One thing that stands out immediately when you visit a Victors Restaurant is the decor. Throughout the entire restaurant, it was donned in lavender flowers. Thanks to That Oxford Girl, we had an opportunity to review this Hampton inspired restaurant. Regardless, all opinions shared in this post are our own.
Dinner At Victors Restaurant
Victors Restaurant in Oxford is located on the roof terrace of the Westgate shopping mall. Like most of the other restaurants, the view of Oxford is impeccable. Outside of Dirty Bones, I have not visited many American type restaurants. I was eager to find out what Victors Restaurant had to offer and how they differed from those around them.
Upon arriving at the restaurant, we were a little perplexed with the design. Near the entrance is the cocktail bar which offers a variety of drinks to match every palette. To the right of the bar is the restaurant area which is slightly differently decored to the cocktail bar. We were in awe of the decor and ambience we experienced in the restaurant area.
Within a few minutes of being sat, we were introduced to our lovely waiter who was very well versed. Based on recommendations from the staff we tried two cocktails, gin and vodka inspired cocktails. Shortly after, we made our order of foods that we wanted to try off the menu. Here

Unlike most restaurants, Victors has no specific way of ordering from the menu. We decided to order from all sections they offered; sushi, pasta, pizza, sides and share platters.
For sushi, we tried, flamed salmon and crispy popcorn chicken, both were delicious. The accompanying wasabi was different from your usual as it wasn’t too strong. From the small plates, we ordered lil lobster rolls and lamb cutlets, I salivate still. When it came to pasta, we chose seafood linguini and

Victors Cocktails
Whilst Victors Restaurant only has one whole day menu, it offers more than most. The food was second to none, pricey but definitely worth the money. We tried the dessert platter which we can not recommend, definitely a must try.
Would We Recommend Victors?
Yes, and No. Yes because the atmosphere was great, the food wasn’t bad and have such great staff. No because we personally think it was a little pricey for the food we ordered. We felt they offered something different and we would return for a snack and cocktails.
We definitely enjoyed our meal, we had such lovely and knowledgeable staff members. There wasn’t a time when we and other guests weren’t catered for. The food was cooked quickly and served hot where necessary, definitely well cooked.

It certainly sounds like an interesting place to visit. The decor looks beautiful and very stylish, but I suppose a Hamptons inspired menu probably would be on the priced side. Thanks for your balanced review!

I like how you just get to pick and choose different things from the menu and I would actually really love to try sushi. It’s a shame it was so pricey, maybe they could come up with offers and deals to attract more people who can’t necessarily afford to spend big bucks on a meal out xx

Oo what an interesting way to run the menu and I like that it has a wide variety of dishes. The décor is also very ‘instagramable’ 🙂

I like the idea of being able to choose food from all over the place, but if it’s overpriced, it would put me off too. You also mentioned that the food was ok, but it doesn’t sound phenomenal, so it sounds like their prices are overinflated. It’s a shame, really.
