Looking back at each decade, I feel both ‘older’ and ‘younger’, I see the change in my features, the change in my way of life, the change in my personality and the experience itched on my face. I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.

2026 - 39, (Home, England), I am ready for this final year before my 40s but also ready for this next decade.
2016 - 29, (Oslo, Norway), this decade was about self discovery and building the life I dreamt about. The life that I am super proud of and truly grateful to be living. This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.
2006 - 19, (Glasgow, Scotland), I thought I was grown (look at the cheekbones 🤣🤣) and ready for the world, chiiiild was I wrong, let’s just say, I am still resolving the trauma the decade brought me but I am grateful because I met my best friends and made decisions for the future I wanted to have. (Spoiler alert - I did better than I dreamed).
1996 - 9, (Home, Zambia) this was my birthday but my little sister insisted she had to be the one in the middle. The only way we knew whose birthday it was, was by standing in the middle but this year I remember baby sister crying her eyes out and refusing 🤨
1988 - 9 months, (Chililabombwe, Zambia) although my mother looks tired and traumatised😟, I know I was loved and happy.

Wantable June |Accessories Box

image image image

Hi there! So this is my second Wantable accessories and I can honestly say I am not 100% with my box this month. I mean I love my statement necklace and 50-50 on the re sizeable ring but not the headband only because I think I can get cheaper versions in the UK but I will still keep my subscription because I have learnt with all sub boxes there is always something you won’t like and for me it’s the headband.
If you new, never heard of Wantable  accessories sub box before here is a little recap. Basically, at the beginning of the subscription you accessed several questions to determine or likes and dislikes by completing a survey of random but related questions. Then their stylists will pick each month items they believe you will like based on the answers you gave at the beginning. Their motto is sending you only items you stated you liked, I do like headbands just not the one I got (I am human after all so are they). The monthly fee is $36 plus shipping to the UK brings the total to $51 depending of exchange rate it’s usually £35. This is not cheap but most of the times it’s worth it, now onto the items I got this month.

Trista Headband RRP $12
This headband has some great detail on it and I can see it looking really pretty on my natural hair not my braids though. I like the colour and the metallic detail and overall it’s beautiful I am just not feeling it.

Monroe Necklace RRP $40
Now this I love so much and I am basically rocking it daily. I love the detail and richness of the design. For me this is my new statement master piece in my jellewry collection. This necklace features gorgeous clusters of stone for a regal look and Wantable recommend you wear it with a simple dress to let the stunner shine and I agree and that’s exactly what I have been doing.

Melisandre Ring RRP $18
Firstly I may love this ring but I am so not ready or even willing to spend 18 bucks of my hard earned money on this small piece of Jellewry. Y’all know I love love Jellewry but my frugality tells me this is ridiculous seriously.

So that’s my June accessories box, next months box will be the decider if I stay or go because I signed up because I love Wantable and their unique items but this month I ain’t feeling it.

What is your opinion on my June accessories box, yay or nay?

Not sure on this bloc, like you said you could probably get them cheaper anyway. I only recently started seeing this on blogs and am intrigued, but I never spend £35 a month on accessories so don’t think ill be joining at the moment!

I probably spend that much on accessories but not in one go maybe over couple weeks but I am giving them one more month then out if not impressed x

I’m glad you like your statement necklace. I don’t think I could justify paying so much for the box though. Primark do things like that for a fraction of the price. I’m too thrifty for my own good!
