Looking back at each decade, I feel both ‘older’ and ‘younger’, I see the change in my features, the change in my way of life, the change in my personality and the experience itched on my face. I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.

2026 - 39, (Home, England), I am ready for this final year before my 40s but also ready for this next decade.
2016 - 29, (Oslo, Norway), this decade was about self discovery and building the life I dreamt about. The life that I am super proud of and truly grateful to be living. This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.
2006 - 19, (Glasgow, Scotland), I thought I was grown (look at the cheekbones 🤣🤣) and ready for the world, chiiiild was I wrong, let’s just say, I am still resolving the trauma the decade brought me but I am grateful because I met my best friends and made decisions for the future I wanted to have. (Spoiler alert - I did better than I dreamed).
1996 - 9, (Home, Zambia) this was my birthday but my little sister insisted she had to be the one in the middle. The only way we knew whose birthday it was, was by standing in the middle but this year I remember baby sister crying her eyes out and refusing 🤨
1988 - 9 months, (Chililabombwe, Zambia) although my mother looks tired and traumatised😟, I know I was loved and happy.

{Fashion Monday} 10 Spring outfits you should have

There are 10 Spring outfits you should have in your closet no matter your budget. Fashion fits all, we all differ in our taste and that’s what makes us unique. You doing you and not copying people is the best way forward. But even then, it is nice to have certain pieces of clothing in your closet for Spring and I am sharing those today. Whilst my choices might not be everyone’s cup of tea I still enjoy sharing fashion outfit ideas.

10 Spring outfits you should have

For me Spring signifies a new start, new life and new opportunities {not that each morning doesnt} and being floral. Putting outfit ideas together can sometimes be hard but this happens when I am over thinking everything. When I sat down to think of 10 Spring outfits you should have, I obviously consulted pinterest. There is always someone whose either done it the same way you did or similar to your thinking. I love that I can find like-minded people but I also love the variety you find on pinterest. With that in mind, here are my 10 Spring outfit ideas you should have in your closet.

Spring outfits

Boyfriend Jeans + white top + loose cardigan\\ White skirt + floral top \\ Mix/Max colours + off-shoulder top \\ Lace skort + white top \\ Denim shorts + stripped top

Spring outfits

Skinny Jeans + Striped long sleeve shirt \\ Striped mini dress + black leather jacket \\ Black max dress + denim jacket \\ Ripped skinny jeans + loose top + heels \\ Floral skirt + plain top

Spring for most of us calls for flats and open-toed wedges than heels and boots. Whilst this might be the most comfortable of options there are times when we just want to make an outfit pop. Mostly it does not take much, add some heels to a skinny jeans outfit and you’re go to go. Or you could add some canvas to your boyfriend jeans outfit and a large cardigan. As I always mention, fashion is not restrictive and it fits all so give it a try to see what works for you.

I am really into all of the pale colors, it really seems so comfortable! I always dress in darker colors in winter so when spring comes I am ready for light and bright!

Most of us definitely gravitate towards darker colours during winter and brighter colours during spring.

Those outfits all look very trendy. I definitely prefer comfort over fashion but I have a niece that would like some of those looks.

I like all the light colors coming out with florals and more free flowing skirts and dresses. Lighter material, easy to wash and clean. Casual comfortable shoes with great accessories

I like the loose cardigans. It is a very versatile piece of clothing that can be worn casual or formal. Spring is the time for light pastel colored tops and I think I would love to have the light blue tank top.
