Looking back at each decade, I feel both ‘older’ and ‘younger’, I see the change in my features, the change in my way of life, the change in my personality and the experience itched on my face. I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.

2026 - 39, (Home, England), I am ready for this final year before my 40s but also ready for this next decade.
2016 - 29, (Oslo, Norway), this decade was about self discovery and building the life I dreamt about. The life that I am super proud of and truly grateful to be living. This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.
2006 - 19, (Glasgow, Scotland), I thought I was grown (look at the cheekbones 🤣🤣) and ready for the world, chiiiild was I wrong, let’s just say, I am still resolving the trauma the decade brought me but I am grateful because I met my best friends and made decisions for the future I wanted to have. (Spoiler alert - I did better than I dreamed).
1996 - 9, (Home, Zambia) this was my birthday but my little sister insisted she had to be the one in the middle. The only way we knew whose birthday it was, was by standing in the middle but this year I remember baby sister crying her eyes out and refusing 🤨
1988 - 9 months, (Chililabombwe, Zambia) although my mother looks tired and traumatised😟, I know I was loved and happy.

2015 Monthly Goals Linky {March}

2015 monthly goals

Another month has started and we’ve been given another opportunity to work on and achieve the goals that we wanted to do or the goals we want to share this month. February was a very busy month for me, a month full of blessings but also a month where I felt very the need to just sit and do nothing. This lack of motivation has led to me not accomplishing any goals that I set out for February. Even now as I try to schedule posts for the whole month I do not feel motivated enough to put myself in the posts hence I will not be scheduling posts this month instead I will be writing them as and when I can master up the motivation.

The Rules

The deets of this linky are simple, following host (on social media of your choice) is optional but may change as time goes on and you’re welcome to link up a maximum of two goal(s) posts.

February 2015 Goals

  • Read 4 books – So far in 2015 I have only managed to read 2 books which is very unlike me since I read between 3-5 books a month (these range from Children’s books to Romantic novels) So this month I am aiming to do better. Thank you to the author’s who’ve reached out so far.
  • Blog series – On The Myrabev Life I started the Blog DIY series where I have been sharing some tutorials both code and non-code related. This has been fun but not sure if I will be sharing in February so need another blog series, any suggestions are welcome.
  • Monday Series – On this blog I have 2 Monday series (Manicure & Fashion) that I share regularly but lately the Manicure Monday series is suffering as I have not had the chance yet since entering 2015 to sit down and do my nails. Fashion Monday is doing well which I am thankful for as I seriously have no fashion sense.
  • Posting Schedule – I USED to have an amazing posting schedule which worked wonders with my insomnia, now my insomnia is getting worse and unpredictable so this has thrown me a bit of my game so I want to reclaim my mojo back this month.

March 2015 Goals

I did not complete any of my February Goals, so my main aim this month is to do my February goals this month instead.

This is a great post and you have some great goals. I have two goals for the year, which is to go down to a size 5 or 6 (currently a 9) and to pay off all of my credit card debt.

Reading 3 to 5 books a month? That is so awesome of you. I am not confident in doing that. I am so busy with three kids and everyday life. I admire you for that. Missed reading books.

I need to make a list of goals and stick to them! I used to be really good at that but I haven’t done it in a while. You can do this girly!

That’s what I do when I don’t quite reach a goal for the month, I let it roll over to the next month. You’ll get it!

Scheduling a post is something that I rarely do. Sometimes I have no motivation or urge to even make a post and there are days that ideas just flow like a water running on a stream. I have to be on the mood.

Those are great goals this month! I have also come up with my own and they are more related with career and work. Recently we had an org change and it’s harder to cope up.

Thanks for sharing your goals! I need to work on my posting schedule but I’m in a similar situation with being thrown off my game. For me its more about finding a better work and home balance which can be hard when you work from home! lol!

I really need to read more this year. I used to read so much, but now I just work so much that I don’t have enough time. I miss reading a lot.

2 books out of 4 isn’t bad in my opinion! Pretty awesome actually compared to me who has a stack near her bedside. I wish there were more hours in the day to read! Oh well, that means my list for reading gets piled up on this month’s goal! LOL!
