Looking back at each decade, I feel both ‘older’ and ‘younger’, I see the change in my features, the change in my way of life, the change in my personality and the experience itched on my face. I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

2026 - 39, (Home, England), I am ready for this final year before my 40s but also ready for this next decade.
2016 - 29, (Oslo, Norway), this decade was about self discovery and building the life I dreamt about. The life that I am super proud of and truly grateful to be living. This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.
2006 - 19, (Glasgow, Scotland), I thought I was grown (look at the cheekbones 🤣🤣) and ready for the world, chiiiild was I wrong, let’s just say, I am still resolving the trauma the decade brought me but I am grateful because I met my best friends and made decisions for the future I wanted to have. (Spoiler alert - I did better than I dreamed).
1996 - 9, (Home, Zambia) this was my birthday but my little sister insisted she had to be the one in the middle. The only way we knew whose birthday it was, was by standing in the middle but this year I remember baby sister crying her eyes out and refusing 🤨
1988 - 9 months, (Chililabombwe, Zambia) although my mother looks tired and traumatised😟, I know I was loved and happy.

2015 Monthly Goals Linky {MAY}

2015 monthly goals

Happy May everyone, can you believe we already in month 5 of 2015? I do not know what the last four months have been like for you guys but for me I can only say Thank you Lord. So many things to be thankful for, so many opportunities that have come my way both in my personal life and my blogging life. May will be undoubtedly the busiest month of the year so far for me. All the weekends in May are spoken for excluding the final weekend (30th/31st may). I am currently in Korea enjoying my holiday and I will try and blog about it on my return, then I have a hen party to attend and the weekend after is my brother’s wedding. So much to do so little time and such tight budget. I chose the wrong time to go on holiday and even wrong time to move into my new apartment a week after my return from my holidays.

Last month I shared with you some goals which were more or less passport dependent and if you read my GBU posts you will know I got my passport almost 2 weeks before I was due to go on this holiday and I couldn’t be more excited. So let’s review what I set last month and what I want to set for this month. You’re welcome to link up and also share the linky with other bloggers.

April 2015 goals

  • {Passport Dependent} Book my flight to Seoul, I am visiting my best friend who is now living and teaching English there. Booked and enjoying my holiday
  • {Passport Dependent} Book a weekend getaway for me and Boo to either Lithuania or Rome. FAILED but booking one for me to Amsterdam
  • {House Dependent} Save money for a bed and for a sofa, I found an apartment which I really like and already paid the estate agent fees to remove the property from the market. Currently waiting on all the checks that need to be done, if all goes well I will have my own apartment {insert happy scream} my first apartment. Partial Success, I have saved up some money and coupons to furnish my place but not enough.
  • With the Easter break almost here I wanted to plan my time carefully between my Boo and my parents, so I need to figure out a way to spend time with each equally. I spent Easter with my parents instead.

May 2015 Goals

Buy a dress for my brother’s wedding – the one I found is out of stock {insert scream/crying}

Buy a bed and/or TV for my apartment {maybe TV first or is it bed – which is more important}

Save money for my next holiday {Planning to go to Zambia again}

Spend some time with friends, at least one meal or cinema {I hate losing touch so will be making more of an effort}

Blog about my trip to South Korea {This is a must but sometimes I need reminders}

Work on getting some more sponsorship for the blog. {I have been lazy for the last couple months need to wake up}

These are my goals for May, I hope to accomplish all of them but only time will tell.

What are your goals for May?

Link them up below.

    Congrats on getting some of April’s goals achieved! Most of my goals for May are blog-centric, but I’d also like to get a few things done around my home – some rooms need painting, my backyard needs tending, and I want to build a gallery wall in the living room with framed and canvas photos. The best way to hold yourself accountable for finishing tasks is to tell others about them – you’ll be letting yourself and them down by not getting them done! Enjoy Seoul!

    I love the this idea! I know the year is almost half over (how is this even possible), but I’m going to do the same thing! It’s all about accountability, right!?!?!?

    One of my main goals for the month of May, is to work on expanding my team. This is so I can free up myself to focus on the key money making activities to move my business forward. It’s time to delegate a bit more.

    A Passport has been on my goal list for what seems like forever. I guess I am not feeling the urgency since I don’t have a trip in mind just yet. Still somehow just having it I think will help motivate me a bit more. I really need to get that done and move on the the adventure part of having a passport asap 🙂

    I’m glad you have been able to meet your goals for April, at least partially! We also live in Seoul and enjoy it for the most part. I also encourage you to find more time to keep up with friends. You won’t regret it!

    I love this idea! My biggest fear with putting my. Goals out there would be my failure. Lol. I never get anything done I need to for my goals. I over reach I think. My month of may goals though are simple. I just need more traffic and I would love to find a way to help other bloggers. My main focus is on moving houses soon so I don’t want a huge list of blog goals! This is a great links, very nice idea!

    I am not one to publicly share my goals, nor do I write them down. I kind of keep them in the back of my mind. Which at this moment I am kicking myself for, because publicly announcing them will most likely make me accountable. Thank you for sharing your goals.

    I have to admit that I wish I was so organized with my goals, maybe I need a goal to keep track of them monthly so I can actually review where I am at. I will be coming back to see if you found the wedding dress and off course to take a look at how the goals for May will go. I have no doubt that you will be able to accomplish all of them and I will be stocking your blog to see your trip to Korea, I had always wanted to go. Best of luck for this month.
