Happy New year! I wish you all a prosperous start to the New Year and hope your Christmas was full of joy, laughter, happiness and lots of yummy meals and baked goodies.

Now that the stress of the festive period is over, new stress will be arising soon – a look at what you actually managed to achieve in 2015 and where you’re headed in 2016. I mentioned in my January 2015 yearly goals how I am anti-resolution and how I prefer to make monthly and small goals which I can achieve or work on throughout the year but reminding myself monthly than having one long a** list that once out of sight will be out of mind.
This year, like last year I will share with you yearly goals that are split either 2-monthly or quarterly in length so that I know what period and deadline I am setting for myself. But before we can get to the excitement of setting these yearly goals and monthly goals, I will share my December 2015 goals and how I got on.
DECEMBER GOALS
Buy christmas decorations – I moved this one to this month because I have to buy decorations for my new apartment. SUCCESS – bought a small desk Christmas tree and a few decorations to give my lonely apartment some festive cheer.
Buy presents – I am ashamed to say I have not bought any presents for anyone in my family not even my mum. I do have some small gifts I bought from the states but nothing else. SUCCESS – I did buy some presents for the people in my life and I am happy about that. Blogging helped me to get them things I know they will love.
Plan two holidays – I want to go and have two holidays this month before the year ends, for me it does not matter if it’s in the UK or outside. SUCCESS – I shared with you my spontaneous weekend getaway to Ljubljana, Slovenia. I also managed to squeeze in a trip to Vilnius, Lithuania.
2016 Yearly January Goals
Like I did in January 2015, I put together goals which I can accomplish in the space of 12 months. I do not like to think of these as resolutions but monthly goals which if I do not accomplish one month I move to the next month.
January – March –> Driving and Buy a car, this goal has been on my list of things I want to do since 2009 and each year I have pushed it back because of either money issues or just lack of time. 2016 is the year that I made more of an effort, put in more time than usual and actually actively worked on getting this done. I wanted to continue with manual car learning but now I think automatic will be best for me.
April – June –> Take my blog to the next level, I want to improve my earnings from the blog. I am making it a point of saving all the moneys earn from the blog starting January 2016. I want to see how much I can save and then use some of the money to improve this blog.
July – September –> Travel as much as I can and go to as many places as I possibly can. I am taking part in the #Take12Trips challenge and so far I have taken 2 trips abroad and planned 3 trips abroad, so I am very proud of myself.
October – December –> Save up money for my first mortgage, I want to buy my own place in the new year so saving up money for this is best way to go about it.
Happy New Year everyone, have you set up any goals?

Great list – and a fab idea to write them down – and to break up into monthly goals. Good luck with them all! Kaz x

Thanks Kaz, I feel monthly are more achievable than single yearly ones as I have an opportunity to move them to next month until they are done.
