Looking back at each decade, I feel both ‘older’ and ‘younger’, I see the change in my features, the change in my way of life, the change in my personality and the experience itched on my face. I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

2026 - 39, (Home, England), I am ready for this final year before my 40s but also ready for this next decade.
2016 - 29, (Oslo, Norway), this decade was about self discovery and building the life I dreamt about. The life that I am super proud of and truly grateful to be living. This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.
2006 - 19, (Glasgow, Scotland), I thought I was grown (look at the cheekbones 🤣🤣) and ready for the world, chiiiild was I wrong, let’s just say, I am still resolving the trauma the decade brought me but I am grateful because I met my best friends and made decisions for the future I wanted to have. (Spoiler alert - I did better than I dreamed).
1996 - 9, (Home, Zambia) this was my birthday but my little sister insisted she had to be the one in the middle. The only way we knew whose birthday it was, was by standing in the middle but this year I remember baby sister crying her eyes out and refusing 🤨
1988 - 9 months, (Chililabombwe, Zambia) although my mother looks tired and traumatised😟, I know I was loved and happy.

Gift Guide: For Him and Her

For him and her gift guide covers some of the gift ideas that I am thinking for MoH and Me. I have never been one to choose gifts for him and her quite easily. Due to our hectic schedules even during the holidays, it’s hard to do things together. Living in different cities also seems to play a mock on us but we do try out very best to spend time together. When I was thinking about what I wanted to include in this For him and her gift guide I thought of things I want to do with MoH.

Let me know what you think of these ideas, what other are you thinking of doing with your other half.

For him and Her

For Him and Her Ideas

Spa Day – Yes this is #1 for my list because I think this is one of the best to do together as a couple. Ofcourse you can attend a cooking class together, pottery whatever but I think Spa Day is the best for me. When I think spa day, I am thinking full massage, sauna, jacuzzi the works. I know we can just relax at home in front of a telly, or makeout, or read a book or even watch a movie. But seriously where is the fan in that, a Spa Day maybe even hotel stay just makes it a little bit more special.

You know you partner better than anyone so you know what he likes doing. How about you indulge him or her for that one day and do things that he or she likes.

Do something he likes

  • Watching or playing a game
  • Going fishing
  • Hanging out with his mates

Do something she likes

  • Shopping, ok not every woman likes shopping but I do so it’s #1 on this list.
  • Spa day at home, I know have said it already but maybe I am hinting that I really need a spa day.

The typical gifts for him and for her

  • Perfume
  • Toiletries set
  • handbags
  • Beauty products, some girls like makeup palette and other beauty products but me, I want lipsticks (lots).

I know there are so many things that couples can do together, for now because of my current state spa day is #1. So that’s it for my gift guide for him and her.

What do you have on your list?

Mr Me actually took me on a Spa day for my birthday at the beginning of this month (planned with the help of my brother!) and it was amazing! Everybody needs a spa day. At least once or twice a year!!

I’ve bought Mr Me Ian Wrights Autobiography as I know he is a little starstruck and inspired by him, as well as having a collection of autobiographies already. I’ve also bought him Football Manager 2017 (I’ve bought him this game nearly every year for the last 10 years) and I am considering something else although I am not sure what!
