As the first quarter of the year comes to a close, its time to reflect on the gone months. I thought I share a 2018 travel bucketlist review and update the list of places we will be visiting. It’s weird for me to think in that last 3 months I have been to 5 countries already. I am so glad I decided to participate in the #take12trips travel challenge again, it has helped maximise my travels. Traveling as definitely made a storyteller out of me and I can not wait to share all the adventures.
2018 Travel Bucketlist Review ✅
When I made the decision to travel at least once a month, I knew it was going to be a hectic one for me. So many life changes were coming my way but I figured I would look at them as they happened and not before. I have mentioned many times that thanks to the blog and my day job, I am able to travel as often as I like. No sugar daddies were acquired in the making of this challenge nor any needed to sustain it. It’s one of the things people often ask, thinking my day job couldn’t possible support me. But I always disappoint when I inform them it’s the day job that allows for the extravagant spending. Another thing to note is that, I might not be great at budgeting everything else but traveling I am a pro. With that in mind, here is a review of places we’ve been to, have been added or removed.
January 2018 Travels
At the beginning of January I hopped on a plane to Prague to spend the first weekend of the year there. Prague holds a special place in my heart, I was happy to make a second visit in 2 years. Before the month ended I decided to take my parents to Toulouse, thanks to Toulouse Tourism who hooked us up. We had such a great time exploring this French city also known as the pink city.
February 2018 Travels
Due to personal issues I ended cancelling my trip to Antwerp which I was looking forward to. Thanks to Antwerp Tourism who were very understanding and willing to work with me on my next visit instead. At the end of the month we hopped off to Pisa to spend time in the Tuscany region reviewing a holiday rental property. We had such an incredible time that we popped over to Florence for the Duomo, Michelangelo and more.
March 2018 Travels
March has been one epic month, it’s been awesome in all aspects of life and that has made me happy. Traveling wise I started the month with a trip to Luxembourg via Frankfurt Germany (2 for 1) and had a magical time. I met some lovely girls who have become nice friends to have and hope to see again soon. Then last weekend I finally managed to tick off my long time bucketlist city, Athens and I can’t express how that felt. The month of March unfortunately wasn’t too great for my parents so they didn’t accompany me on any of these adventures. But as I mentioned in the Traveling abroad with aging parents, we excited for the next adventure booked.
2018 Travel Bucketlist Review and Update
It has been such an incredible last three months, I am sad that it is over but excited for the future. The next few months are all jam packed with travel especially April and May. I am excited to plan our family trip for June to either Ontario or to Bali. Whilst the next three months will be very busy, here is a look at the 2018 Travel Bucketlist Review.

This is such a good idea! Living so close to other countries it has to be so much fun to be able to just hop on a plane and be someplace in an hour. I am totally going to pack myself in your bag next time you go LOL.
