Looking back at each decade, I feel both ‘older’ and ‘younger’, I see the change in my features, the change in my way of life, the change in my personality and the experience itched on my face. I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.

2026 - 39, (Home, England), I am ready for this final year before my 40s but also ready for this next decade.
2016 - 29, (Oslo, Norway), this decade was about self discovery and building the life I dreamt about. The life that I am super proud of and truly grateful to be living. This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.
2006 - 19, (Glasgow, Scotland), I thought I was grown (look at the cheekbones 🤣🤣) and ready for the world, chiiiild was I wrong, let’s just say, I am still resolving the trauma the decade brought me but I am grateful because I met my best friends and made decisions for the future I wanted to have. (Spoiler alert - I did better than I dreamed).
1996 - 9, (Home, Zambia) this was my birthday but my little sister insisted she had to be the one in the middle. The only way we knew whose birthday it was, was by standing in the middle but this year I remember baby sister crying her eyes out and refusing 🤨
1988 - 9 months, (Chililabombwe, Zambia) although my mother looks tired and traumatised😟, I know I was loved and happy.

30 Before Thirty Bucketlist

A number of experiences or achievements that a person hopes to have or accomplish during their lifetime or a certain time point.

In March of 2015 I made a decision to create a bucketlist like this {ONE} but split into two parts. Travel Edit: Fifteen {15} places I would love to visit and Life Edit: Fifteen {15} experiences I would love to experience. It’s been over 2 years already and I am still hard at work on my bucketlist. Initially when I started I thought two years was a long time and I would accomplish the goals in no time. Fast forward two years later and there is still lots I wanna do. Every passing year I want to add to my bucketlist list but I am staying strong and sticking to the original plan.

30 Before Thirty

30 Before Thirty #Bucketlist

Ever since putting the 30 Before Thirty bucketlist together I have not had all the goals in one place. This post aims to share the overall list of places and experiences in one place and tick things off. I hope to update this post again as I complete each item.

July 7, 2017 I turn 30. I have under 9 weeks to complete the following items.

  1. Prague, Czech Republic
  2. Paris, France
  3. Venice, Italy
  4. Dublin, Ireland
  5. Amsterdam, Netherlands
  6. Seoul, South Korea
  7. Nice, France
  8. Berlin, Germany
  9. Stockholm, Sweden
  10. Athens, Greece
  11. Rome, Italy
  12. Barcelona, Spain
  13. Cornwall, England
  14. Stonehenge, England
  15. Lake District, England
  16. Buy or start Renting my own place
  17. Face one of my fears
  18. Go to Disney Paris {Read HERE and HERE}
  19. Visit the States
  20. Go hiking or camping {Glamping in Slovenia}
  21. Visit a winery {Slovenia}
  22. Learn how to drive
  23. Attend a concert
  24. Buy a car {though yet to collect}
  25. Run a race for life
  26. Do a 30 days challenge and complete it.
  27. Visit the Victoria Falls
  28. Take a cooking or baking class
  29. Watch a musical or attend a theater
  30. Buy my own place
