Ways to Bring Outdoors indoors

Mother Nature is a great decorator, she can teach us a thing or two about bringing outdoors indoors. I love Mother Nature and I always look for ways to emulate her in my home. She definitely has a way with her decorating skills and always has a surprise up her sleeve.

In this article, I hope to share some of the ways that I am bringing the outdoors indoors. These ideas are more important now that the Autumn season has arrived.

Over the last few years, I have been looking for ways to bring the outdoors indoors. Being a renter, I am limited to how much I can change the decor in my apartment. But this has not stopped me adding a few bits and bobs to the place, leaving my mark.

In this article, I hope to share some of the ways that I am bringing the outdoors indoors. These ideas are more important now that the Autumn season has arrived.

Bring the Outdoors Indoors

When I am thinking about bringing the great outdoors indoors, I am thinking something small. For those limited on budget, this is something that you can do without breaking the bank. Upcycling and DIY are very essential tools if you don’t want to spend too much money.

In this article, I hope to share some of the ways that I am bringing the outdoors indoors. These ideas are more important now that the Autumn season has arrived.

Plants and Fresh Flowers

Over the last two years, I have been nursing my orchids which have started to flower. It took a long time for them to finally flower but now that they are in bloom, they look gorgeous. What I love about orchids is they do not need much attention.

During the times when the orchards didn’t flower, I opted to purchase fresh flowers. The farmers market always has the best affordable fresh flowers and always by a bunch. Flowers not only recycle the air around your home, but they also make it look pretty too.

Plant Fruits & Vegetables

When I was young we used to plant vegetables and fruits in various planters. Living in the city, it is not always possible to have a garden, instead, I plant indoor fruits, herbs and vegetables.

If you’re fortunate to have a garden, check out *The Tree Centre for some inspiration. I have my eye on the Fiddle Leaf Fig Tree, it would look gorgeous in the corner in my living room.

Use Outdoor Materials

When it comes to messing with your home decor, I always opt for natural materials. Wood and stone are the best materials that come to mine, wooden floors are the best all year round.

Whilst this is not for the faint-hearted, a small sand pit can bring the feeling of the seaside indoors. I love how the sand feels under my feet and in between my tools.

Decorate with outdoor furniture

When it comes to decorating your home and bringing outdoors indoors, rattan is the best choice. Everyone always associates rattan with outdoors and that’s a good way to bring the outdoors indoors.

If none of these ideas is possible in your home, I would suggest a tree house. Or better yet, check out these ideas and see which would work for your home. I hope you find ways that bring the outdoors indoors and be one with nature.

I love the idea of bring the outdoors inside. I don’t use flowers nearly enough in my home but it’s about time that I start! I didn’t realize that fresh flowers are more affordable at the farmers market.

Having natural pieces in the home makes my home feel fresh and put together. Fresh flowers are typically my go-to, but I’m inspired to branch out.

I am so useless at looking after plants, they always seem to die on me no matter how hard I try to look after them, which is a shame because I just love having plants around the house.

I have found that it doesn’t to be much just something and from different seasons. Flowers during spring, summer and fall. Pinecones and different items.
