When it comes to buying the perfect mother’s day gift, its all about knowing what your mum/wife/daughter loves. I know my mother is a sucker for sweet treats hence why I put together ideas for Alternative Mother’s Day Gifts. Whilst flowers, chocolates and afternoon tea gifts are great, it’s better to give tailored gifts.
Over the years, we shared a number of Mother’s Day gift ideas which of whom we’ve liked. But in them we’ve observed, if the gifts are generic, the recipient feels the same too. It is therefore important to think outside the box and we hope the Alternative Mother’s Day Gifts guide does that.

Alternative Mother’s Day Gifts
Mothers {biological or not} are the salt of the earth and we would be lost without them, I know I would. When we were compiling a list of Alternative Mother’s Day Gifts, I had to think what isn’t the typical gift? Whilst flowers are great, I want to gift my mother something I have never done before.
Before I share the Alternative Mother’s Day Gifts ideas, I must mention that some of these items were sent to us. I am happy to include these items as its those I know my mother would love and I would buy myself.
Biscuiteers
Biscuiteers was started in 2007 by Husband and Wife in hopes of offering ‘a more unique, stylish and personalised gifting solution‘. Since their inception, they have partnered up with incredible brands like Harrods. Over the years they have seen incredible success and looking through their website it’s easy to understand why.

Personalised Cava and Chocolates
With over 10 years of experience selling gifts online, The Personalised Gifts Shop is our number place to shop for gifts. We were fortunate enough to collaborate together for the Family Christmas Guide and happy to be collaborating again. Every time I visit there website I am bombarded with lovely personalised gifts that my loved ones would absolutely love.
For the Mother’s Day collaboration, I chose more for me than my mum in all honesty. But in fairness, she does love a good bottle of bubbly and the Cava with chocolate was the perfect gift. Both my mother and I have a huge sweet tooth and never shy away from chocolates, we excited to dig into these.
National Trust Visit
In the UK, we have an impressive number of estates that are managed by the National Trust who aim to preserve these properties for future generations. Whilst my sister and I are members and visit often, our parents aint and its would make a great alternative Mother’s Day Gift. Couple this with a nice afternoon tea often offered on most National Trust estates across England and Wales.
Support her Passions
Our mother is one talented lady, she can do anything and some of her skills that transitioned to her daughters are; baking and sewing/knitting. I am the baker and have been since I can remember, my sister is the more craftsperson and she supports mum with her crafts.
Mum has been running her Etsy and eBay shops for a number of years now. Over the years we’ve noticed how happy she becomes when we support her passions and I think that is a better present than flowers.
