In this post, we hope to share simple ways to Refresh Your Home This Spring without breaking the bank. The tips in this post are those that can be used throughout the year to match the season.
How To Refresh Your Home This Spring
For those of us that are moving around this time, Spring is a perfect time to perfect a huge declutter of the home. There are lots of mini-projects that have to be started and most involving decluttering up the home and gardens. For this purpose of this post, we will focus on simple ways to Refresh Your Home This Spring .

Flowers
There is nothing more fitting than adding fresh flowers into a home to welcome spring. I have fresh flowers all year round but during spring tulips, daffodils and primrose make an appearance. Adding fresh flowers into a home is a simple way to welcome spring into your home and just adds freshness.
Shutters |Blinds |Curtains
As much as I love spring mornings and hearing the birds chirp way too early, I prefer pure darkness until I am awake. Blackout blinds are perfect for that early morning brightness, shutters are a perfect way to let in some light into your home and bright curtains for a more spring feel to your home. These items can be purchased in your local Durnell or IKEA.

Sofa covers
Growing up in Africa, mother took great pride in changing up her sofa covers in time for the new season. And as kids, this was an invitation to play on the ‘new looking’ sofas. Somehow changing the sofa covers made the home feel different and often matched the outside. Instead of buying new sofas, sofa covers helps save money and sofas stay for longer.
Add some colour
I am a great believer in adding some colour to ones home and that never fails. Often when I want to add colour but can’t make huge changes to my space, I choose to add canvas prints. Different art pieces and simple things like bright yellow lamps around your home against light blue accents.
Update the Sofa cushions
The easiest update that can be made to home is updating the sofa cushions and make the more season appropriate. I have an obsession with sofa cushions and often change them to match not only the season but my mood.
And this is how you Refresh Your Home This Spring without breaking the bank. What are some of the tips you use to spruce up your home in time for Spring?

On a big scale, we need to entirely repaint and refloor the whole flat but in the meantime, I’m looking into adding some plants (that won’t die) around the place! Flowers would have to be fake as most of us are terrible hayfever sufferers xo

Flowers and plant can do wonders for a room and it’s decor, personally I don’t like my house without flowers. I do have to get more plants in my home somehow, meaning another trip to IKEA. Oh no, whatever will I do!
