Traveling is the spice of life, well, atleast it is in mine and I am a sucker for travel deals. I spend way too much time searching for the best travel deals and in this article I aim to share my secrets. So, come closer, my secret recipe of the secret soup is nothing Apps. Seriously, I use these 4 apps to find the best travel deals and not just to Europe but further afield too. I know with GDPR coming into force on 25-May-2018, many people will be happy to unsubscribe to some things. The following 4 apps and their respective websites shouldn’t be one of them and here is why.

I am often asked by my readers and close friends and family, how do you manage to travel so often? This is a question I have been asked so many times I have perfected a response, apps. When they look confused I then explain further, I am a deal hunter and these apps help. So who am I able to find the best travel deals on the planet, well lets discuss.
Skycanner
Founded in 2001 this meta search engine is a fare aggregator and is based in Scotland. Since I was introduced to the site a few years back, I have been utilising it to find the best deals. I think it is the best fare aggregator in the field and has helped me find some incredible deals. What I love about the site is the recommendations of places you can check out. The explore section of the website/app is my best friend as its allowed me to visit new places. Places I never had on my bucket list but have added and been because of this website. I also love that I can monitor prices for my chosen dates of travel to find the lowest deal.
Ryanair
An Irish low cost airline based in Dublin with operational bases in Stansted and was founded in 1984. Almost 95% of my travels across Europe are with Ryanair because their flight deals are beyond affordable. I have managed to purchase tickets as cheap is £5 single to Toulouse, France and £7.99 to Warsaw, Poland. Many people are often shocked when I tell them how cheap my flights are and often I check on Skyscanner first. Though I find the flights on Skycanner I prefer to book directly on Ryanair and have signed up to newsletters.
Groupon
An American world wide ecommerce business that offers local deals including travel in 15 countries. I was often sceptical about Groupon because of a few bad experiences with some merchants. But I decided to give it a chance last year and managed to bag some incredible deals off them. I am currently searching for some incredible deals for the Lake District and Cornwall to visit this year.

Expedia
Most of my friends swear by Expedia as being the best place to search for good deals. I wasn’t convinced until this year when I founded an incredible deal for Seoul then for Marseille. Every time I looked on the website I did not find ‘affordable deals’ but now I do which I love. The biggest thing for me is that I can earn nectar points from some flights and hotels.
And there you have it, the four apps that I use to find the best travel deals across the globe.

Great tips. One of the best tips I’ve found is using google for airfares. Not only will it show the price differential over the month but you can get to view hotel fares in the area you are looking for and more.

Two apps I’ve been looking at obsessively recently if you like the idea of a “surprise” trip are LuckyTrip – you put in your budget and duration and it creates a random holiday for you that includes flights, accommodation and one “activity”. You can spin the wheel as many times as you like and save your favourites. The second is called Srprs.me, and this one you book a mystery trip (again you set budget/duration) and they tell you at the airport where you’re going! My friend has been on 3 srprs.me trips and loves them, I have yet to try it but I will do this year!
