Bakerdays Letterbox Cake Review + { #giveaway CLOSED}

Bakerdays, a UK cake company based in Nottinghamshire with the aim to create the perfect cake for every occasion. Founded by Andrea Guzyova and Alan Hawkes, their homemade cakes are deliciously tasty and made to order. Part of the appear for many Bakerdays customers is the great cakes and next day delivery option. I first became aware of Bakerdays when a fellow blogger review the brand a couple of years back. Since then I was truly fascinated with the idea of a letterbox cake. When the opportunity finally came for us to also review a letterbox cake, I jumped for joy. I couldn’t say YES fast enough and now I am excited to share with you what I think of it all. The idea of receiving a cake via the letter box is truly novel and very intriguing to say the least.

Bakerdays Letterbox Cake Review

When I came home from work and saw the Bakerdays letterbox had arrived I was honestly worried. My letterbox hangs a little higher than most people and the those of it being dropped through scared me. To my surprise when I opened the letterbox, I found a cake tin side which held the cake together. Opening the tin cake I was truly amazed, firstly at how gorgeous the cake designed look and that it hasn’t broken. The cake arrived in tact, nicely wrapped in small plastic inside the cake tin on a small cake tray.

Apart from the delicious looking cake and the taste of the cake, I am still amazed it came in tact. One of my biggest fears was opening a box of crumbles than a cake but my fears were unfounded. The cake was ordered on a Monday and I received it by Tuesday, that’s definitely next day delivery. If you order your cake by 2pm, you can have your cake delivered next day, delivery information.

One of the main reasons I was excited for this collaboration is because of my best friend’s upcoming birthday. I will be traveling on her actual birthday so to make up for it, I am sending her a letterbox cake. We tested the service with another friend as we wanted a true experience of the service. My friend ordered a letterbox cake for her friend’s recently engagement and happy to report the cake arrived in tact. We chose standard delivery option and the cake did arrive in 3 days after ordering.

Would I recommend Bakerdays Letterbox cake!!

Yes!!

What I am loving about the company is you can have your cake personalize however you like. For me, The Myrabev Life and A July Dreamer are both 4 years old this year. I wanted a cake to celebrate my blogs and they did me a solid with the personalization. The cake tin is another love, I like the simple design but also I can re-purpose it around the house.

The cake I chose is a vanilla sponge, but they offer other options too like chocolate cake. The letterbox cakes are not suitable for freezing as they dry out the sponge, keep at room temperature. Ordering process is easy, choose your cake, design and order. They have cakes for all occasions and can be personalized with either words or picture or both.
