Looking back at each decade, I feel both ‘older’ and ‘younger’, I see the change in my features, the change in my way of life, the change in my personality and the experience itched on my face. I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

2026 - 39, (Home, England), I am ready for this final year before my 40s but also ready for this next decade.
2016 - 29, (Oslo, Norway), this decade was about self discovery and building the life I dreamt about. The life that I am super proud of and truly grateful to be living. This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.
2006 - 19, (Glasgow, Scotland), I thought I was grown (look at the cheekbones 🤣🤣) and ready for the world, chiiiild was I wrong, let’s just say, I am still resolving the trauma the decade brought me but I am grateful because I met my best friends and made decisions for the future I wanted to have. (Spoiler alert - I did better than I dreamed).
1996 - 9, (Home, Zambia) this was my birthday but my little sister insisted she had to be the one in the middle. The only way we knew whose birthday it was, was by standing in the middle but this year I remember baby sister crying her eyes out and refusing 🤨
1988 - 9 months, (Chililabombwe, Zambia) although my mother looks tired and traumatised😟, I know I was loved and happy.

{Featured Brand} Basic Invite ~ Truly Custom Invitations

Basic Invite is a one stop shop for every event card, founded in 2006 operating from Saint George in Utah. With a small and passionate team, creating the perfect card through the development of unique technology. That’s isn’t even the best part but they deliver to all English-speaking countries world-wide mainly USA, UK and Canada.

Basic Invite

Basic invite provides you with limitless options that allow you to instantly create a card that is truly unique. To those recently engaged or have upcoming celebrations, Basic invite offers you a multitude of inspiration. I am not the creative type but with their gallery, I could whip up a nice invite for any occasion.

Recently I was reminiscing about my graduation almost 4 years ago now and I remember my mother talking about Graduation announcements. Back home {Zambia} we probably would have done some sort of celebration (low-key) but invites I know would have gone out. After all, I am the first-born and first grandchild to go to university though many have come after since.

Basic Invite ~ Truly Custom Invitations

When the offer came to collaborate with this amazing company, I was (still am) truly honoured. I always mention in my monthly sponsor posts, how humbling it is to work with a variety of brands. The last time I worked with an invitation/cards company was back in 2014 with Mango Salute. I remember how gorgeous the cards where, the art on designs on each was spectacularly unique.

Basic Invites is spectacularly unique too, but the passion poured into each invite is second to none. Having spent several hours testing out different parts of the website definitely inspired me to create something for my 30th. Though I won’t be having a party to celebrate this milestone, I figured it would be nice to have a beautiful card. Not just an ordinary card but one I will look at years from now with all the significance it will hold.

Basic Invite

One of things that has captured me about is the range of event invitations they cover and uniqueness of it all. There invites are all pinterest worthy, unique and stands out in a crowd even before you open it. The following are some of the services they cater for: Baby Shower invitations|Births|First Birthdays|Bar-Mitzvah

I will let them tell you what’s unique about Basic Invite.

THE BASIC INVITE DIFFERENCE

  • Build your own color theme. Use trendy colors in unlimited combinations to make your card as unique as you are. With a design selected changes can be me to each element on the card to over 180 different color options. This way you can make sure the card is exactly how you want it down to the littlest detail. This is what sets them apart from almost any other online stationery company.
  • Free Peel and Seal Envelopes included with most card orders. Customers can choose from over 40 different colors when it comes to their envelopes to me make the invitations standout.
  • Instant previews allow you to adjust your card until it is just right. Offering customers the ability to order a printed sample of their actual invitation. And also check the paper quality before they ever have to place their final order.
  • Unbeatable prices and value, plus price matching.

Basic Invite Social Media: Facebook Pinterest Instagram Twitter

As mentioned above, Basic Invite is your one stop shop for all event invitations. They offer unique products with unbeatable prices and value. They offer you a opportuntity to receive printed samples of the actual invitations with free peel and seal envelopes. What are you waiting for, go check them out and maybe for your next event try their services.

Nice to know we haven’t forgotten how to write & send out letters, invites & thank you notes (my bad). Of course I have to admit I couldn’t make myself buy Christmas cards so I sent out Jacquie Lawson which I love … but sometimes, they make sense when you can personalize them into something people want to save.
