Looking back at each decade, I feel both ‘older’ and ‘younger’, I see the change in my features, the change in my way of life, the change in my personality and the experience itched on my face. I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.

2026 - 39, (Home, England), I am ready for this final year before my 40s but also ready for this next decade.
2016 - 29, (Oslo, Norway), this decade was about self discovery and building the life I dreamt about. The life that I am super proud of and truly grateful to be living. This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.
2006 - 19, (Glasgow, Scotland), I thought I was grown (look at the cheekbones 🤣🤣) and ready for the world, chiiiild was I wrong, let’s just say, I am still resolving the trauma the decade brought me but I am grateful because I met my best friends and made decisions for the future I wanted to have. (Spoiler alert - I did better than I dreamed).
1996 - 9, (Home, Zambia) this was my birthday but my little sister insisted she had to be the one in the middle. The only way we knew whose birthday it was, was by standing in the middle but this year I remember baby sister crying her eyes out and refusing 🤨

{Beauty} Foundation Routine

Collage_3lva1zggmuxbewmapkwdzq20141231-2-1qibm68jpg?1420027471

Now that 2014 has ended and you have tried and tested many products it’s time to sit back and decide what has worked, what hasn’t and what should be added. My Face routine has changed maybe 3 or 4 times and all happened in 2014, I must confess I did not really have much of Face routine prior to 2014 or shall I say blogging. I used to just wash my face with whatever was in my bathroom or whatever worked for my mother. After I started blogging I started seeing how different people did theirs and thought why not me.

Last year I also introduced you to some amazing products I have been using like the OZ Naturals serums and eye gel and other Vitamin C serums which so far has worked wonders for me. Today I wanted to share with you a new routine I will be trying out for 2015 on top of my current Face routine. If you are like me and do not really wear makeup as much but want to have a flawless skin foundation routine when you do then try these steps below.

Step 1 – Erase pores

Benefit Cosmetics - The POREfessional 0.25 OZ Pore Minimizing Balm

I got my first test of benefits porefessional last year when I got it as a freebie from my UK Cosmo magazine and I have not looked back. I do not have that many pores but the little I have have been taken care of.

Benefit Cosmetics – The POREfessional 0.25 OZ Pore Minimizing Balm – $12.78, 5.48 shipping – Available at Fullfillment By Amazon

Step 2 – Prime skin

Stila - One Step Correct Color Cosmetics - Multi

I have tried countless primers and most have been disappointing so the verdict is out on this too. If you know any great primers for oily skin please share

Stila – One Step Correct Color Cosmetics – Multi – $36.00, Free shipping – Available at Nordstrom

Step 3 – Apply foundation

Step 3 - Apply foundation

I have heard a lot about this foundation but again the verdict is out until further notice

Step 4 – Blend

Epower - Pink Makeup Teadrop Blender Blending Foundation Sponge Puff

I recently purchased a beauty blender and so far not been disappointed.

Epower – Pink Makeup Teadrop Blender Blending Foundation Sponge Puff – $4.21, Free shipping – Available at Amazon.com Marketplace

Step 5 – Conceal

MAC Cosmetics - MAC Pro Longwear Concealer - NW15 9ml/0.3oz

I love my MAC concealer they have always worked for me but I rarely use concealer.

MAC Cosmetics – MAC Pro Longwear Concealer – NW15 9ml/0.3oz – $32.44, 5.48 shipping – Available at Fullfillment By Amazon

Step 6 – Illuminate

Maybelline - Lumi Touch Maybelline Dream Concealer

For me Maybelline has always been a hit or miss kind of brand so will see.

Maybelline – Lumi Touch Maybelline Dream Concealer – $5.99, 5.50 shipping – Available at Amazon.com Marketplace

Step 7 – Set

Smashbox - Halo Hydrating Perfecting Powder, Medium, .67 oz

Smashbox is fairly new to me as I usually use ELF or MAC powder to set my makeu

Smashbox – Halo Hydrating Perfecting Powder, Medium, .67 oz – $49.99, Free shipping – Available at Amazon.com Marketplace

Step 8 – Bronze (Optional step)

Too Faced - Cosmetics Primed and Poreless Powder, 0.16 Ounce by Too Faced

Love Too Faced products, for those who love to bronze give this product a try.

Your skin looks amazing.. seems like a lot of products to use on your face. But then again I don’t know, I don’t use anything. I just have a simple wash I do every morning & night.

Gah, I’ve seen your photos- you don’t need all this crap!! lol Your skin is beautiful!
For oily skin, I would suggest a charcoal soap. That’ll kick some serious ass and leave your skin squeaky clean without dryness 🙂

I am looking for some alternatives to what I’m currently using. I can’t afford to pay high prices. Some of these look like they would be better priced.

You don’t actually put all those products on at one time, do you? I love the pore reduction product from benefits. I’ve tried that before. Have you tried the primer from Smashbox it’s pretty good. My favourite concealer remains Clinique. Nothing beats it.
