Looking back at each decade, I feel both ‘older’ and ‘younger’, I see the change in my features, the change in my way of life, the change in my personality and the experience itched on my face. I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.

2026 - 39, (Home, England), I am ready for this final year before my 40s but also ready for this next decade.
2016 - 29, (Oslo, Norway), this decade was about self discovery and building the life I dreamt about. The life that I am super proud of and truly grateful to be living. This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.
2006 - 19, (Glasgow, Scotland), I thought I was grown (look at the cheekbones 🤣🤣) and ready for the world, chiiiild was I wrong, let’s just say, I am still resolving the trauma the decade brought me but I am grateful because I met my best friends and made decisions for the future I wanted to have. (Spoiler alert - I did better than I dreamed).
1996 - 9, (Home, Zambia) this was my birthday but my little sister insisted she had to be the one in the middle. The only way we knew whose birthday it was, was by standing in the middle but this year I remember baby sister crying her eyes out and refusing 🤨
1988 - 9 months, (Chililabombwe, Zambia) although my mother looks tired and traumatised😟, I know I was loved and happy.

{Beauty} Refresh Eye Recovery Serum ~ Review

You’re not as young as you were yesterday but that does not mean your skin has to look older than you feel. For the last year or so I have been pretty good at looking after my skin and only trialing out products I know and believe will not do damage to me but will add value to the look of my skin. We all want to look as youthful as we possibly can without spending an arm and a leg to achieve it. Some of us have even decided going the botox or surgery way is not an option no matter what, so if that’s the case how can we go about looking after our skin properly outside having a healthy lifestyle?

**

A few months ago I shared with you some awesome products from Refresh skin therapy line, I reviewed the Reveal Pre Peel Rose glow cleanser and the Restore moisturiser, both of these products have been very gentle on my skin and have done exactly as promised. Today I am reviewing the Refresh Eye Recovery serum which comes in a serum type device (airless pump) and can be used on all skin types. It’s Non-irritating, fragrance-free gentle cooling eye treatment which contains no artificial colors, parabens, sulfates, alcohol, or preservatives. The serum is Vegan, Cruelty-free and 100% natural botanical extracts. The products is colourless in colour, has a gel like texture and gets absorbed into the skin pretty quickly without any residues. Once absorbed into the skin it feels like a barrier has been formed but I did notice that when I sweat and rub it off it leaves residue at the site like a mask peel which if I am honest was not a fan of.

The Best Eye Serum Peptide + Intense Eye Cream for Dark Circles and Wrinkles, Eye Bags, Puffiness – Advanced Precision Applicator Maximizes Effectiveness -This Eye Gel Treatment Made with 100% Natural Ingredients – Most Effective Eye Serum Available

Overall I do love the product and I have noticed a difference in my under eye since I started using it. I use the product 3 times a week as I always like to give my face breathing time too. I definitely would recommend this product to anyone looking to improve skin texture, reduce dark circles and a reduction in puffiness around the eyes. Refresh skin therapy claims this product reduces UV damage as well as inflammation and so far with how it has worked for me I believe the claims.

You can purchase your own airless pump from Amazon £48.50 or visit their website.

This sounds great, but does it contain lemon like the picture suggests? I’m citrus intolerant so might not be able to use this one 🙁 x

It sounds like a nice product. I workout a lot as well, so it sounds like I’d definitely need to not use it beforehand if there are any issues while sweating.

That stinks that it rubbed off like that! The last thing you want when you’re already sweaty is to look like you’ve got peeling skin on top of it lol! The fact that it’s vegan, cruelty-free, etc., though, is definitely appealing.

I workout a lot, so it’s a bummer that it peeled of when you sweat. I have puffy bags under my eyes that I would LOVE to see go away, though.
