The Best Family Friendly Campgrounds in the Southeast
- Pirateland Family Camping Resort (Myrtle Beach, South Carolina) – The on site water park at this campground includes a lazy river, a 5,000 square-foot Pirate Ship Splash Pool, and an Olympic-sized pool. It also offers services at its chapel, provides summer recreation programs, and a playground.
- Enota RV Campground (Hiawassee, Georgia) – There are four waterfalls and five streams on-site, but this campground’s natural luxuries are just the beginning. It also offers a spa and wellness center, an organic garden and farm, a lodge complete with a huge stone fireplace, and a fair-trade gift shop. There’s more to do here than you’ll have time for.
- Cajun Palms RV Resort (Henderson, Louisiana) – This campground near New Orleans provides every amenity a family could want. It has a swim up tiki bar for the parents and a train ride for the kids. Poker for the parents and arts & crafts for the kids. An adults-only jacuzzi for the parents and an arcade for the kids. And for everyone, it has a huge movie theater that can seat over 50 people!
Roasting s’mores, looking at stars, and sleeping in tents–these are memories kids hold on to for the rest of their lives. The campgrounds listed above all allow such memories to be made, but they go far beyond that too. This is what makes them not just good, but great parks for camping with the whole family.

Normally I do not like camping, but we started going glamping and now I am enjoy it better. I know it is not the same but at last is a way to be still share with my family the beautiful views. My husband does love camping and I will share this list with him

Pirateland Campground sounds like much more than a campground. It sounds almost like an amusement park. That’s my kind of camping though. All of these sound like great choices, and I might even agree to go if I had these as options.
