Looking back at each decade, I feel both ‘older’ and ‘younger’, I see the change in my features, the change in my way of life, the change in my personality and the experience itched on my face. I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

2026 - 39, (Home, England), I am ready for this final year before my 40s but also ready for this next decade.
2016 - 29, (Oslo, Norway), this decade was about self discovery and building the life I dreamt about. The life that I am super proud of and truly grateful to be living. This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.
2006 - 19, (Glasgow, Scotland), I thought I was grown (look at the cheekbones 🤣🤣) and ready for the world, chiiiild was I wrong, let’s just say, I am still resolving the trauma the decade brought me but I am grateful because I met my best friends and made decisions for the future I wanted to have. (Spoiler alert - I did better than I dreamed).
1996 - 9, (Home, Zambia) this was my birthday but my little sister insisted she had to be the one in the middle. The only way we knew whose birthday it was, was by standing in the middle but this year I remember baby sister crying her eyes out and refusing 🤨
1988 - 9 months, (Chililabombwe, Zambia) although my mother looks tired and traumatised😟, I know I was loved and happy.

Next Blogger Event Shoreditch

Next Blogger Event
I am in the top picture in a blue top and white trousers

Next Blogger Event this year was hosted in Shoreditch at the Ace Hotel with an array of incredible bloggers and instagramers. I was fortunate to get the invite a few months back and could not wait to attend. But as with any blogger event you’re always nervous especially if you don’t know anyone attending. I found myself quite nervous because my sister was not able to join me due to work commitments. But I shouldn’t have worried as I met a lovely instagramer whom I had such a lovely chat.

We had a chance to meet and mingle with the special guests: Niomi Smart, Lily Pebbles,The Anna Edit, Monica Welburn and Chloe Digital. I especially enjoyed the photography station with the lovely Monica who gave some awesome tips on Instagram.

Next Blogger Event Goodies

One thing that I have to commend Next on is how awesome and super their goody bag was. Most blogger events often give samples of products but Next went out and gave us some amazing goodies which I am loving. As you can see from my picture above we got a number of items:

Next Blogger Event

Studded cross over bag – they had multiple colours but I wanted black. Black cross over bags are some of the items that I am lacking in my closet. I loving having at least a couple in my closet to go with all my outfits weather going out or running errands.

Next Blogger Event notebook and pen – if you’re anything like me you like cute notebooks, this one I love. I have a few notebooks sat in my office drawer just looking cute and need to be used. This Next notebook might get used more than the others as its my ‘restaurant and Events’ book. The pen is just a lovely touch to have and I am glad to have it.

The Chiltern collection luxury fragranced candle – I am such a sucker for scented candles and can’t get enough. This fragranced candle burns for up to 48 hours and it honestly smells divine. It has rich undertones of amber, cedar and oud which are enhanced by sparkling neroli and acents.

Even more Next Blogger Goodies

Earrings – OMG I am in love with these green dangling earrings that Next included in the goody bag. I have lots of earrings but none from Next and I am super excited about that. I have the perfect outfit for them and can not wait to then them out for a spin.

High shine lip gloss – I got the 701A shade called ‘in the buff’ and I absolutely love it. It’s more nude colour and not something I wear often but I still love it big time.

3 in 1 Shadow stick – line, define or cover. I am yet to test this product but it looks really good. And lastly I got the macaroons with next engraved on them, they tasted delicious.

I am so glad I was able to attend the next blogger event and excited to attend more in the future.
