Looking back at each decade, I feel both ‘older’ and ‘younger’, I see the change in my features, the change in my way of life, the change in my personality and the experience itched on my face. I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

2026 - 39, (Home, England), I am ready for this final year before my 40s but also ready for this next decade.
2016 - 29, (Oslo, Norway), this decade was about self discovery and building the life I dreamt about. The life that I am super proud of and truly grateful to be living. This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.
2006 - 19, (Glasgow, Scotland), I thought I was grown (look at the cheekbones 🤣🤣) and ready for the world, chiiiild was I wrong, let’s just say, I am still resolving the trauma the decade brought me but I am grateful because I met my best friends and made decisions for the future I wanted to have. (Spoiler alert - I did better than I dreamed).
1996 - 9, (Home, Zambia) this was my birthday but my little sister insisted she had to be the one in the middle. The only way we knew whose birthday it was, was by standing in the middle but this year I remember baby sister crying her eyes out and refusing 🤨
1988 - 9 months, (Chililabombwe, Zambia) although my mother looks tired and traumatised😟, I know I was loved and happy.

{Fashion Monday} Lotd meets the Fashionista

A fashionista is defined as someone whose a devoted follower of fashion, we’re firm believers in Fashion fits all. Fashion comes and goes but style doesn’t, it evolves with individuals over time. We recently had a great opportunity to collaborate with Lotd and I picked up some lovely items. But as luck would have it I picked some wrong sizes too so I chose to give them to our fashionista. Here are some of the ideas she came up with for a Frill Knit Jumper.

All day and Night Fashionista outfit ideas

As you know lotd is an online Fashion brand based out of Manchester, since the introduction I have been shopping nonstop. They have such incredible little cute items that we just love around here and can not get enough of. The fashionista decided to share are all day and night outfit ideas that I know fellow Fashionista’s will love.

Black on Black

Regular readers know I am a sucker for black on black outfits and out resident fashionista put this outfit together. The Frill knit jumper is nicely paired with a faux leather jacket over leopard print ankle boots. Obviously if we taking the current weather into consideration we suggest adding a thick pair of thermal tights. I love that this outfit is chick, daring and above all something so simple yet stylish.

If shorts are not your thing, you can pull this outfit off with a nice pair of plain black trousers. I have always had the motto of enduring to have black pants in your closet for days like these. Pair the pants with steel end ankle boots over faux leather jacket and you’re good to go. The beauty about fashion is that it doesn’t need to be too complicated to look in style and fashionable. With our motto fashion fits all, its important to have pieces that flatter you and work to your shape’s advantage.

For those like me who love nothing more than a beautiful knee length midi skirt then this is for you. Skirts for me are a must have, I know they are not everyone’s favourite but you can play with them. I have long legs that I like to show off so shorts and skirts are definitely my thing. In this weather it might not always be advised and even though I don’t exactly like tights I do love a good skirt. This is another outfit paired with ankle boots and having a full length coat would definitely keep you warm when out and about.

Let us know what you think of these three styles our resident Fashionista has sprung up.

I really like that jacket. I’d wear it with some jeans and heels.

Love all three outfits. That top with the skirt was my favorite since I’m in Florida and it’s so hot in here year round.
