Looking back at each decade, I feel both ‘older’ and ‘younger’, I see the change in my features, the change in my way of life, the change in my personality and the experience itched on my face. I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

2026 - 39, (Home, England), I am ready for this final year before my 40s but also ready for this next decade.
2016 - 29, (Oslo, Norway), this decade was about self discovery and building the life I dreamt about. The life that I am super proud of and truly grateful to be living. This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.
2006 - 19, (Glasgow, Scotland), I thought I was grown (look at the cheekbones 🤣🤣) and ready for the world, chiiiild was I wrong, let’s just say, I am still resolving the trauma the decade brought me but I am grateful because I met my best friends and made decisions for the future I wanted to have. (Spoiler alert - I did better than I dreamed).
1996 - 9, (Home, Zambia) this was my birthday but my little sister insisted she had to be the one in the middle. The only way we knew whose birthday it was, was by standing in the middle but this year I remember baby sister crying her eyes out and refusing 🤨
1988 - 9 months, (Chililabombwe, Zambia) although my mother looks tired and traumatised😟, I know I was loved and happy.

February 2020 Collaborations – Monthly Roundup

As the month comes to a close, It’s that time again, this month we are sharing the February 2020 collaborations. Every month end I take a moment to reflect on the collaborations we’ve had as a way to recap and highlight the collaborations. When I started blogging back in 2013, I could never have imagined that this blog would become a side hustle that would bring in a passive income.

For the first time since I started making passive income on the blog, February 2020 has been the quietest ever. Like January 2020, I found myself stepping away from the blogging world and spending more time offline. It has been a great shift for me as I am someone who spends more time online than I should, thanks to the nature of my work as well as blogging. It has taken some getting used to but it has been enjoyable.

February 2020 Collaborations

As a blogger, I relish sharing recap posts but this month it has been completely different. It may have something to do with just how crazy the month of February has been offline than online. It is weird for me to share for the February 2020 collaborations, we did not work with any brands or PR. There are lots of pending contracts in the works but nothing was agreed upon for this month and therefore we have not collaborated with any brand.

This in its own way has been a blessing as it allowed me to focus on sharing content that I want to write not because I have a deadline to fulfil. Whilst we worked with Sleep Master EU, its a collaboration from last month that we’ve finally shared a thorough review of our use of their mask. As a frequent traveller, this mask has been god-sent on the long haul trips I have throughout February 2020. It worked like a charm on the flights and I would recommend it.

Since this month we did not have any February 2020 collaborations, I want to share a few posts that I shared this month. With 2 long haul flights planned for February, I knew I had to share the in-flight skincare routine that I follow to keep my face hydrated. There is nothing I hate more than patched skin that you get after a long haul flight. Another thing I dislike is struggling to sleep on the plane, so I shared a few tips on how to pass time on such flights.

The month of February 2020 has been an extremely busy month, I somehow managed to fly from New York to London then immediately got on a flight to Seoul from London. To say my body clock is out of wack is an understatement, I am awake at the wrong times and even worse sleeping when I shouldn’t. I am finding myself tired all the time but somehow my body still doesn’t want to sleep even though I feel completely drained.

Thanks to my recent trip to Seoul and Busan, I am under self-quarantine for the next 2 weeks, I hope this time I will be able to get my body clock back in order. When you don’t get the right amount of sleep it just throws your body into disarray and I honestly dislike that feeling. But never one to complain, I am making the best out of each situation.

I love the idea of a mask for travelling. I find it hard to sleep when it’s light.
