Fragonard Parfumeur Factory is a French family run perfume factory with three factories in Eze,Grasse and Paris. Founded by Eugène Fuchs a young entrepreneur before the first world war in Grasse. With the idea to entice tourists who had found and wanted to experience the charm of the French Riviera. He then named the factory after a Grasse-born painter, Jean-Honoré Fragonard as a tribute.
Fragonard Parfumeur Factory ~ History

Fragonard makes and sells many products which include cosmetics, soaps and lotions, home scents and perfumes for both me and women. The company also puts together gift ideas and perfumed sets and cases which I had the pleasure of buying.

Fragonard Parfumeur Factory ~ Tour
I had not originally planned to visit the perfume factory but I decided to visit on my way to Monaco from Nice. This perfume factory sits in the beautiful little village of Eze perfectly perched between Nice and Menton. Upon arrival, I was greeted by the nice staff at the factory, my guide who spoke good english came and took me on the tour.
First thing I learnt how many flowers are used to make perfumes, they range from 200 to 1000’s of flowers. All Fragonard products are natural, no parabens or toxic chemicals are used. The company prides itself in using flowers grown in France and for specific scents they import flowers for other parts of the world.

Hand-wrapped
I was really impressed when I learnt that for all the packing especially the boxes are made by hand. In the Eze factory they make about a 1000 products a day and those are all individually wrapped.
Another thing that surprised me is that ‘there are apparently only 5 ‘Nose‘ (can’t remember the french word) who know over a 1000s scents. These people are who test the scents, they are not allowed to drink, smoke etc I think a hard life for someone in France lol.

The entire Fragonard factory is filled of lovely scents floating around the rooms in harmony. Nothing is too overbearing every scent mellows well together with other. I was able to purchase a perfume called Etoile meaning star.
Fragonard Parfumeur Factory ~ Popular scents
I had a chance to smell, Frivole, Belle de nuit, Etoile, Belle Chérie, Emilie, Diamant and lle d’amour. All these perfumes were natural scents from different categories ‘Fruity to Flowerie’.

Aside from the lovely perfumes I got a whiff of, I was picked up a couple of Jasmin scented soaps. I had such a lovely time visiting the Fragonard Perfume Factory in Eze and can not wait to visit again. Knowing I can purchase the products online and are delivered world-wide has made me even happier.

I am a big fan of all things scents! This was such a cool experience to have. I find that I tend to lean towards more musky scents. Floral or sweet scents don’t work so well for me.
Anosa says
Floral scents work for me more than musky or sweet scents but yes it was an awesome experience one I wish to do again
HollyAllie Noah says
What a neat perfume store. I can’t wear a lot of perfume because it is overwhelming. But I love the bottles!

Then you would be in heavy with these perfumes as they are not overwhelming in the least just perfect blends
Jacqui @FlightsFancyMom says
This sounds like a lot of fun! I love perfume, but I can’t do the flower scents. They give me a headache lol. More subtle scents are great.

They do other scents too but I belive majority are flower based scents

I’ve never visited a perfume factory – what a great tour! I love that the company is family owned and has been in business for such a long time. It’s awesome that that use all natural products and flowers grown in France.

Oh absolutely, all natural is what all of us want so it’s nice to find companies that are still catering for us generations later
Dad of Divas says

I too was taken in by the long history and just how this family has managed to evolve but not lose their authenticity
