Looking back at each decade, I feel both ‘older’ and ‘younger’, I see the change in my features, the change in my way of life, the change in my personality and the experience itched on my face. I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.

2026 - 39, (Home, England), I am ready for this final year before my 40s but also ready for this next decade.
2016 - 29, (Oslo, Norway), this decade was about self discovery and building the life I dreamt about. The life that I am super proud of and truly grateful to be living. This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.
2006 - 19, (Glasgow, Scotland), I thought I was grown (look at the cheekbones 🤣🤣) and ready for the world, chiiiild was I wrong, let’s just say, I am still resolving the trauma the decade brought me but I am grateful because I met my best friends and made decisions for the future I wanted to have. (Spoiler alert - I did better than I dreamed).
1996 - 9, (Home, Zambia) this was my birthday but my little sister insisted she had to be the one in the middle. The only way we knew whose birthday it was, was by standing in the middle but this year I remember baby sister crying her eyes out and refusing 🤨
1988 - 9 months, (Chililabombwe, Zambia) although my mother looks tired and traumatised😟, I know I was loved and happy.

{GBU} THE HAPPENING ~ WEEK TWENTY FOUR

Hi there and Happy Thursday everyone, welcome to another wonderful week of the Happening the Good the Bad and the Ugly (GBU) I can not believe this day has arrived. I have been counting down for so long that I almost forgot about it {ALMOST}. I am sure you’re wondering what I am blabbing about but today I am flying out for my vacation {HOLIDAY}, this has long been overdue. You have no idea how excited I am to be finally going and just taking some meet time. Any way, at the least of continuing like this I will get down to the main reason of this post. All my readers know Thursday I share the updates of my life from last week Friday till Today Thursday, its been a fun few days and very exciting too.

In the spirit of GBU

 The Good

Last week Friday my parents and I drove to Aberystwyth in Wales for a mini holiday/church convention. I had booked us in to stay at the Teifi inn, it was a beautiful and quaint little place right by the sea which was gorgeous.

Saturday we travelled to Borth and Ynyslas beach for my church time with other youth members, it was so peaceful and relaxing driving around in North Wales. I think I got so relaxed I was falling asleep every minute or chance I got, but overall it was fun.

Sunday we headed for church at Aberystwyth University, had lunch on campus then made our way back to England. It was a 5-6 hour drive but we made very good use of it, I did  bit of blogging so made me feel very productive 🙂 .

Monday I travelled back from my parents home in Cambridge to my place in Oxford, it was good to be home and back in my bed. Boo came to visit which was awesome and since it was bank holiday I got to do some more relaxing.

Tuesday and Wednesday was back to work (see the bad), the friend am visiting it will be her birthday soon so worked on getting a few things for her care package.

The Bad

Tuesday and Wednesday so me stressed out at work, does it happen to you that when you’re about to go away for vacation then 101 things all of a sudden turn up that you need to do and people start requesting stuff? well that’s me these two days. Today I am starting really early so I can get some things done then I can go on holiday to relaxing not worrying about someone ‘setting a fire’ so to speak.

Packing is not one of my strongest suit, I will pack what I need for a short trip but for a longer trip my mind usually stalls and now I have been packing then unpacking because I am not sure what I need except for my entire house.

The Ugly

None – at church we have a song taken out of the scriptures which has stayed with me for years “If God is for us all can be against us, nothing separates us from the Love of God“

I love the photographs. It seems the good things are outweighing the bad things this week. I use to get so stressed at work before heading on holiday, and it may surprise you but now I am a stay at home I equally get stressed out. However the holiday I am sure will be worth it. Have a great time 🙂

It does seem like everything waits until just before a holiday, doesn’t it! Hopefully the stresses will all fall away as you go.

These photos are lovely, it is a shame about the work stresses, but I am glad the goods far outweigh the bads! x
