Looking back at each decade, I feel both ‘older’ and ‘younger’, I see the change in my features, the change in my way of life, the change in my personality and the experience itched on my face. I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.

2026 - 39, (Home, England), I am ready for this final year before my 40s but also ready for this next decade.
2016 - 29, (Oslo, Norway), this decade was about self discovery and building the life I dreamt about. The life that I am super proud of and truly grateful to be living. This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.
2006 - 19, (Glasgow, Scotland), I thought I was grown (look at the cheekbones 🤣🤣) and ready for the world, chiiiild was I wrong, let’s just say, I am still resolving the trauma the decade brought me but I am grateful because I met my best friends and made decisions for the future I wanted to have. (Spoiler alert - I did better than I dreamed).
1996 - 9, (Home, Zambia) this was my birthday but my little sister insisted she had to be the one in the middle. The only way we knew whose birthday it was, was by standing in the middle but this year I remember baby sister crying her eyes out and refusing 🤨
1988 - 9 months, (Chililabombwe, Zambia) although my mother looks tired and traumatised😟, I know I was loved and happy.

{BeautyBox} The Glossybox ~ July 2016 Edition

It’s been over two years since I last got a Glossybox. When I started blogging and learning about beauty subscription service, I was amazed that such a thing existed. I started researching (googling) and found a number of beauty boxes were available. I had already tried Love me Beauty, Birch Box and other beauty sub boxes so I figured it was time to try the glossybox.

glossybox
Every month, 5 beauty products are chosen by the team at glossybox and are sent out to the subscribers. You can choose from 4 subscription services, monthly 3-monthly, 6 monthly and yearly. As I am someone how often changes are mind on beauty products, I always choose monthly. The beauty about glossybox is that, the products are detailed to you. You have to complete a short survey to give them an idea of what you like and don’t like.

With the current hype, I decided retry the glossybox and see if there has been any changes since the last time . I will say from the word go that I did love the items I received in the July 2016 edition of the glossybox.

The Glossybox – July 2016 Edition

Soft & Gentle hair minimise antiperspirants. I must confess, when I read ‘hair minimise‘ I thought it was a dry shampoo and ignored it. This was until I was tidying up my dresser that’s when I realised it was actually an antiperspirants. I loved the scent from the first whiff, it does last for 48hrs but I can not yet attest to the hair minimise claim.

Blank Canvas Cosmetics blending brush. I always say this on the blog, I am not much of a makeup person. But every now and again,  I put in an effort so it helps to have cute and soft brushes to use. This brush is soft to the touch, glides smoothly across the face and does not yet shed.

UTAN & Tone moisturising night creme. I am yet to open this creme, though I do not need anymore tanning I do love the look of the packaging and can not wait to try the product out.

Icona Milano – A girl can never have too many mascaras, shoes, bags or even clothes. I am currently collecting mascaras as I need to have one in each of my frequent locales. When I am at the gym, I seem to forget everything except lipstick and mascara. You can tell for me mascara is essential. I need mascara in my toiletries back and also my travel bag too.

Hairon Brush – I am loving these types of brushes for my thick afro hair. As my hair is braided, I can’t wait to give this brush a run for its money once I undo my hair. The brush is strong, yet soft and feels like it would able to help untangle the Notts in my hair.

Items liked and did not like

The items which I feel I will use most are the Soft & Gentle antiperspirants and the Icona Milano mascara. As many know with every beauty box there are always items which one doesn’t like, for it its the creme.

Which of the products have your tried or would like to try? Ever tried the Glossybox?
