Looking back at each decade, I feel both ‘older’ and ‘younger’, I see the change in my features, the change in my way of life, the change in my personality and the experience itched on my face. I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

2026 - 39, (Home, England), I am ready for this final year before my 40s but also ready for this next decade.
2016 - 29, (Oslo, Norway), this decade was about self discovery and building the life I dreamt about. The life that I am super proud of and truly grateful to be living. This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.
2006 - 19, (Glasgow, Scotland), I thought I was grown (look at the cheekbones 🤣🤣) and ready for the world, chiiiild was I wrong, let’s just say, I am still resolving the trauma the decade brought me but I am grateful because I met my best friends and made decisions for the future I wanted to have. (Spoiler alert - I did better than I dreamed).
1996 - 9, (Home, Zambia) this was my birthday but my little sister insisted she had to be the one in the middle. The only way we knew whose birthday it was, was by standing in the middle but this year I remember baby sister crying her eyes out and refusing 🤨
1988 - 9 months, (Chililabombwe, Zambia) although my mother looks tired and traumatised😟, I know I was loved and happy.

GlossyBox | June Box

20140619-215645-79005139.jpgHi there! Ok so I have had a gazillion subscription boxes this month to try out/review and still got maybe one or two more, so if you’ve had enough look away now I won’t be offended (insert cringing smiley). Today’s subscription box is June Glossy Box, this month I am little bit (more) impressed than last month or the ones before it. If you are not familiar with beauty boxes (those who are please bear with me) then see my simples explanation of it below.

Subscription box as the name suggest are boxes that you subscribe to either monthly, bi-monthly etc and pay a certain fee depending on your frequency of delivery. For this box I pay £13.25 (this includes postage) and I receive my box monthly. There different types of subscription boxes mine are mainly beauty items/accessories and soon foods. Most subscription companies will take a survey of your likes/dislikes then try and find items from that information and usually the products collectively cost more than you pay for subscription, saying that they are usually sample items but companies like Wantable do only full beauty items. So that’s all about sub boxes in a nutshell.

In my box this month I got  So Susan blush, I have never heard of this brand (not yet used the product) but I believe in firstly finishing what I already have before starting new ones. I did a swatch (picture quality bad) so decided not to show it, but you must take my word for it when I say nice pigmentation. 20140619-215646-79006031.jpg

I got the flat stiff brush by Teeez Trend and I am in love, it’s being used daily and moved in with the beautiful makeup palette for my love me beauty box.

Roger & Gallet –> the shower cream and lotion, omg the lotion smells divine not too greasy and moisturises the skin. The shower cream is just so invigoratingly good and leaves freshness in the air. I will definitely be buying these products.

Got2b style was also in my box, I have heard of this brand but never used any of there products (never had a need) and probably still don’t. It’s smells great though and the packaging is quite funky and unique.

20140619-215645-79005717.jpg

Finally in my box I got a sample perfume and nail girls 3-in-1 base|top coat| nail strengthener. I am using it now as I write this and since I wanted to see how good this product is with different nail polishes I put it on the test. **excuse my nail painting skills! these photos are unedited**

So which products do you like from my latest Glossybox.

**Blogging on iPad had it’s limitation, sometimes pictures are one of them**

since you’re also a pharmacologist, do you look at the ingredients that go into the products? how is the top coat? i’m interested in finding a new one. Right now I use an OPI one but I don;t think it dries as fast.. and my nails get smudged quickly since I’m impatient.

As a pharmacologist it’s just habit that I do check the contents but as human I sometimes forget. When I do and do not like combination I don’t use the product lol. The base/topcoat/strengthener is great I can’t recommend it more, it dies what it says on tin. I too am impatient but I am impressed with how the nail girls product helped with the drying and luck of smudging
