Looking back at each decade, I feel both ‘older’ and ‘younger’, I see the change in my features, the change in my way of life, the change in my personality and the experience itched on my face. I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.

2026 - 39, (Home, England), I am ready for this final year before my 40s but also ready for this next decade.
2016 - 29, (Oslo, Norway), this decade was about self discovery and building the life I dreamt about. The life that I am super proud of and truly grateful to be living. This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.
2006 - 19, (Glasgow, Scotland), I thought I was grown (look at the cheekbones 🤣🤣) and ready for the world, chiiiild was I wrong, let’s just say, I am still resolving the trauma the decade brought me but I am grateful because I met my best friends and made decisions for the future I wanted to have. (Spoiler alert - I did better than I dreamed).
1996 - 9, (Home, Zambia) this was my birthday but my little sister insisted she had to be the one in the middle. The only way we knew whose birthday it was, was by standing in the middle but this year I remember baby sister crying her eyes out and refusing 🤨

Manicure Monday ~ Jessica Au Natural

Wedding manicure

Last week I shared with you some of the ways I care for my nails outside painting them. It is always annoying for me when my nail chips or breaks off in the corner or feels so weak, limp and lifeless. I have had so many times that my nail breaks off on the side but closer to the middle than the tops and if I get caught into something this is extremely painful I tell you. It’s never fun to have your nail break off at the worst point and not have the right tools to take care of that. I will be sharing with you an addition to the tools that I use to care for my nails outside what I shared in my last Manicure post and that is toenail clippers.

This gone weekend I went to the Village St Davids’ Resort in North Wales where we had booked a spa weekend for a hen do. I knew that I wanted to have a massage (which I can tell you was absolutely awesome) and a manicure to get me ready for the wedding this coming weekend. Though I knew I had wanted to have a manicure done, I actually did not know what colour I was going to go for until after I had bought my shoes for the wedding. I will be sharing with y’all some time in the next few days or weeks after the wedding. Knowing my shoe colour was half the battle, picking the colour to match the shoes was the other battle. Most people choose nail colour to go with the dress, no not me! I wanted my shoes and my manicure as well as pedicure to match and that’s where Jessica’s Au natural comes in.

Before visiting the St David’s Spa I had never heard of the Jessica brand later on the Jessica Au Natural nail polish (£10.50) but when I saw it I knew exactly what I wanted and praying to the heavens this manicure and pedicure last me up to the day after the wedding. The Jessica Au Natural custom nail colour is such a beautiful colour and I think it looks so good on me. I wish my camera would start working already but it’s not to be so I am using my iphone 5c camera for the photos so excuse me if they are not the greatest and do not do the custom nail polish justice.

What do you think of the colour?

What dress do you think I am pairing with this nail colour for the wedding?

I mentioned earlier that I wanted to share an addition to my toe nail care collection and it’s no other than the toenail clipper I was sent for review by the lovely people at Clyppi. Prior to them contacting me I had never heard of the company so I researched (googled) and this is what I found.

Clyppi is a brand founded in 2013 to fill the void that was lack of good quality, great performance and looks good nail clippers for men & women. I know my dad always complains about how flimsy all our nail clippers are and I am sure he will love this clipper as I am adding it to the father’s day basket.

What I loved about these clippers is how they fit comfortably in your hand, makes it easier to do your toenails and surprisingly for me they cut even nicely. I have had a nail clipper break in my hands because my toenails are that stronger so to have one which can withstand that is awesome and a great product to have. I definitely would recommend this clipper as a family clipper not just for me but for all as I will definitely be using this with my dad and the rest of the family when I visit.

You can purchase your very own strong, good quality, does an excellent job clipper from their website or from Amazon.

Information from Amazon.

  • The Clyppi Toenail Clipper, an ultra cool precision tool which will help you achieve that Sharp, Clean, Well Groomed look people find so impressive and attractive in today’s world
  • This Toenail Clipper is ergonomically designed to suit the shape of your hand so that it feels Comfortable to hold and is super Easy to Use – even for those who suffer from conditions like arthritis

  • Will cut your toenails CLEANLY and PRECISELY so that you do not end up with ugly cracked, split or torn nails

What do you think of this nail clipper? What kind of clipper do you have or look for?

Happy Monday

I love beige color too and I use it on my fingernails. My toenails get the brighter and colorful nail polishes.

You’ve just reminded me that I have a pretty pink and neon orange Jessica polishes that I’ve never used. This is a really pretty colour, I really like the au natural look with a bit of a twist 🙂

The toenail clipper is something I need as I always end up with unevenly cut nails. This can really help me in getting better results.

I definitely could use a new nail clipper-my toenails are horrible —and it is almost impossible to clip them down. I am hoping that this nail clipper will work!

I love a good spa weekend and in desperate need of one. Nowadays I prefer my nails to be kept short too as it’s more practical, although they still grow pretty long when I let them.
