I was sat in my living room last week when I thought about how much I wanted to change it a bit. Obviously money is tight right now due to my many trips abroad so I thought why not put together a living room wish list where I can share with you some of my plans and wants.
Living room wish list
Living in an apartment, I have an open plan living room and kitchen which means I am limited in space allocated to my living room and space allocated to my kitchen but I can always push the boundaries. Saying that I do not wish to push the boundaries, I want to create a distinct demacation of what area is the kitchen and which is for my living room so I figured having a corner sofa would help me make the demacation I so desire.
Currently I have a leather sofa bed which is cute but not the most comfortable of sofa beds so instead of leather sofa bed I would like to get a fabric corner sofa. Having such a sofa offers me the alignment I require for my open plan space as well as the comfort of a fabric sofa.
When I moved into my apartment over a year ago now, I wanted to quickly fill up my empty home with simple essentials. The coffee table I picked up from Argos now has one lose leg so I was looking at some of the coffee tables IKEA has in store within my budget. They say you can never go wrong with IKEA so I am excited to have this on my living room wish list.
Finishing touches for my living room wish list
Another Argos item I bought immediately after moving into my apartment was the TV unit just for my TV, blueray and TiVo box. It’s saving/saved it’s purpose but I have no where to keep my DVD’s, CD’s or even some books so I figured all in one TV unit would suit me best. I could always mount the TV but then it would limit me with how often I can change up my living room. Those who know me know I am always changing things around in my home so I need that flexibility.
No home is complete without flowers (fake or fresh) and some art work on the wall. I bought art work with one of my favourite quotes of all time and now I want to add to that collection. I have an orchid I received from work and it will soon be flowering but made me realise how much I love having flowers around my home.
Having a relaxing living room is what it’s all about. Though my current sofa bed gives me more trouble than comfort I am still fairly happy with it but can not wait to start saving and buying what’s on my living room wish list.
What do you have on your living room wish list? Do you have a corner sofa or a sofa bed?

I love your choices! My living room is great but since I’m moving I’m thinking about turning it a little bit more minimalistic, if that’s even possible, hehe.
Miranda says
I think it is possible, you can do it as you like

A great list. We are actually looking for a corner sofa at the mo. This one is lovely and would go very well in our room x
Miranda says
How lovely and thanks
Rachel says
This is a great wishlist and we looked at getting a corner sofa but in the end opted for a 3 and 2 seater because oddly they took up less room x
Miranda says
It’s odd that a 3 & 2 seater sofas took less room than the corner sofa but it also depends on how your living room area is shaped

Lovely choices, I just love grey. We have a leather corner sofa and I hate it. Is much rather a fabric version too.
Miranda says
Leather sofas as not fun as most are not comfortable and you can’t change them up

We have a sofa bed and I am always on it.
Miranda says
They are so lovely to have especially if they are comfortable

I’d love a corner sofa but our living room is too small for one, I’d also love a new dining table and chairs for in there as we need a better quality one.
Miranda says
I would love a new dinning table but with my open plan I can only fit in the corner sofa for the living room area

I am moving in the next few months and I have been day dreaming about how I will decorate and style my new home. I love that sofa, I really want a new one x

These are beautiful picks. I have some lovely grey and red wallpaper in my room and these would look beautiful in there 🙂

I would love to have a corner sofa, but my living room’s layout won’t allow this. We have an old fabric sofa-bed from Ikea. I do like it, because I get to change the covers when I want a different “look” and it’s also handy to be able to do that especially when it gets really dirty (what with kids, a dog and a cat) 😉
Miranda says
That’s what I love about fabric sofas you can change up the covers and I need a corner sofa to save my sanity
